Just read a lot here and other places so you are as educated as you can be for this journey. It blows me away to hear from people who are shocked when certain things happen....you must be informed! This is a new journey and being informed is half the battle. What a gift you are giving yourselves and your child. Beautiful!

THANK YOU to everyone. This weekend I was at my sister-in-law's for dinner and her dining room wall is all mirrors and i looked at my profile and I thought- wow! You are smaller! That was a thrill too! Feeling on top of the world! Still have quite a ways to go but I am on the right road!!!!

I am overjoyed this morning to report I weigh 199! It is a big day. Most people can say I haven't weighed that since...but honestly I don't know when I last weighed this as I avoided the scale. I am so excited to say I joined the onderland club! 25 years ago I was around 170 I believe. I have had a slow weight loss compared to some but it is going down and I am thrilled nonetheless. Yippee!

Sometimes controlling yourself is hard enough!.

To the doctor "What part of that statement is susposed to be kind and caring? I guess you skipped bedside manner class...so sorry you have no personality....have you thought of being a researcher? I hear those jobs don't require a bedside manner and you are so qualified for it."
Make sure you report this behavior. He needs sensitivity programing.

I love walking into my closet and knowing everything in there fits me and I can wear whatever I want! It is getting close to the time when some things are big again...it is a dream come true. I am emotional about it honestly. This is such a gift to myself!

My great tip: I made Crystal Light double strength ice cubes. I made them with my favorite flavor and I popped them in while watching tv and they melt in your mouth. Double strength because the ice doesn't have enough flavor otherwise but that gets the liquid in slowly...and helps get the liquid down in the beginning when it is so hard. sugar free popsicles are great too..

I like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury strawberry sorbet with Crystal Light lemonade. Very summery and refreshing! I am going to try this one too! Thanks for sharing.

Stick to the plan. That is best. Your taste buds can wait a few. They recommend things for a reason. Just my two cents.

Good advice but if you find you are chewing loads and taking small pieces and you still have chest pain call your doctor's office. They know best!

I decided against it. My fear is it will make hair grow in places I have fought for so long...I verified many have seen Hair growth in unwanted places. My surgeon said it is not necessary. Hair loss is inevitable but short lived. I am losing hair which scares me but my hairdresser is not of the opinion I will need a wig before my body catches up. We will see. Good luck in your decision.

Put on your shoes and go for a walk! Smell the fresh air and be proud of what you are doing for yourself. Nothing like being good to yourself. Bacon smells good but it doesn't do a whole lot for your wellbeing.

My insurance wouldn't cover it. I can't afford the $300.00 plus. It is too new and needs to come way down in price.

I took my supplement today! Thanks for sharing. I feel better for just reading the article to know I am on it!

That is great advice! I do make sure my shakers are clean (It is a chore cleaning those thoroughly but I bought enough of them to always have some on hand and some in the dishwasher post my hand scrubbing) but the opening is large enough on those to smell it so I will try the coffee cup ones!

Did you measure yourself prior? Not all stalls are stalls. They are periods of readjustment and healing for our bodies. I bet you are losing inches! Try on some clothes you remember as being too tight and see what happens! Be patient!

I had surgery in March. After I had lost about 30 pounds I cleaned my closet out. Top to bottom. Nothing went back in that did not fit. Items that were too big (yes, there were lots!!!!) I donated. Items that were too small went into my dream box. Now I walk into my closet and I know everything fits. I have a friend who tells me if something I wear is too large and I trust her so if she tells me it is too large it doesn't go back in. Then every 2 weeks I open the dream box and move items into the closet if they fit. It is a dream come true every morning to pick an outfit. It all fits!!!!!!
Just earlier this week I noted the dream box was getting emptied and a friend came in the next day with clothes for me-most of which went into the dream box. I didn't tell a soul about my dream box or that it was getting empty!
I have been stalled for like one month and yet clothes are still moving-so even if it is not success on the scale it is success in inches. This so motivates me.
I also started an art journal with magazine pictures of outfits I like, bathing suits, thoughts on everything from what I am looking forward to or what I am experiencing and that is fun to create and to read. I record my NSVs too. That is motivating to me.
