My packet is being submitted next Monday and surgery date Dec 15. How long did it take for approval?

I'm scheduled for December 15. No approval yet was just scheduled yesterday. I have a two week preop diet of three shakes and a small meal a day. I'm so excited!

Well I was hoping for October 27 but since my sleep study is now postponed to Oct 8 I doubt it...

Well here I am typing a reply that things are moving along when I get a call that my sleep study tomorrow is rescheduled cause insurance hasn't precertified yet. At least the two heart tests are scheduled and certified for Fri and next Monday. After that its just the sleep study results to wait for....still hoping for late October but we'll see... ***update...now insurance has denied in lab sleep study and I have to have a home study. And....have to wait for Oct 8.....sighs....

My sleep study is tomorrow night. I'm so afraid of my insomnia kicking in. I'm getting up at 4am tomorrow and staying busy all day in hopes of being exhausted. Any tips from anyone? **update..just got call my sleep study was rescheduled two weeks...

Been waiting for a call from sleep study center for nearly four weeks. My Bariatric coordinator has put in the order multiple times. Today she says she gives up and is sending me directly to a pulmonologist for clearance.. so no sleep study? Thoughts?

I'm preop hoping for late October. My goals include being aroundvto see my great grandchildren born. (My grandkids are all under 10). I want to not fear chairs with sides....not fear kids rude remarks because they weren't taught to respect people...I want to RUN! I want to take spin classes! I want to buy regular clothes without the godawful huge flowers and stripes (what are these clothes designers thinking????) Mostly I want to be healthy....live a long healthy living life.

The waiting is torture...psych done. Pcp letter done...saw cardiologist and gastro have to do their tests (endoscopy the 5th, echo tbd and stress test the 11th.) nutritionist done...preop class the 18th and sleep study the 9th. If all goes smooth hopefully mid to late October ....

Very frustrated ...got a letter they denied my nuclear stress test so I call the cardiologist and they don't have any records of my echo being submitted for precert yet its scheduled on a day I'm already seeing someone else. Its all screwed up....Dee...might be joining you in November ....

Dee...I know you're disappointed...but we're talking a few weeks...it will happen! I believe in things happen for a reason. Its time to mentally prepare.

I have my endoscopy Sept 5, nuclear stress test Sept 2, sleep study Sept 9 and then ill have an echocardioram once its authorized then off to approval. Hoping for October surgery

I'm in the middle of preop hoops (testing) and I'm on track for mid to late October. Keeping fingers crossed!
