I can run now! How is everyone else's weight loss? I'm down to Xl shirts at the store and pants are down 3ish sizes
  2. I do not watch the view at all. They are all crazy and too liberal in my opinions everything is either their way or no way.
  3. Thank you everybody! I appreciate the support
  4. I am in the same boat. This had lasted from week 3 and I am now week 5! Determined not to give up. I have lost 28 pounds total which I would not have done without the surgery in just 5 weeks. however, I have no idea how to make this stall stop.
  5. How much weight have you lost in the first 4 weeks post VSG? I have lost about 28 pounds and just curious. What kind of scale do you guys have? Looking for a new, good, accurate one. Thank you.
  6. How far out can you eat nuts? thanks
  7. I would ask to go in and see the doctor. Np, or RN.
  8. the bottom right incision is where my surgeon pulled the stomach through. They to.d us before surgery that incision would be the most painful. I am 4 weeks out as of today and mine is still a little sore at times.
  9. You need a different surgeon. If they are that uncaring and that unorganized preop they are going to be just as bad if not worse postop when you really need them!
  10. It gets better! Before long you will not be hungry. Have you tried the popsickles? They were and are a huge blessing to me! I have not been hungry at all post sleeve. I am 3 weeks2 days postop. You can do this!!!!
  11. I had surgery 3 weeks and 2 days ago. Absolutely no regrets. I am NOT hungry!! I have no cravings and the best part is I have lost 30 pounds so far!! I look forward to the bright and healthy future that is ahead of me...especially playing in parks with my grand baby next spring and summer!! All of my co-workers, family, and friends know and are super supportive. They have seen my never ending struggle with my weight and they want the best for me.
  12. Thanks everyone. It is getting on my nerves and the only thing holding me back! I have been out walking..even when I don't like it.
  13. I had my VSG 2 weeks ago and still having the left shoulder pain right under the left clavicle. Anybody have it this long? It is worse after taking a deep breath Thanks for help.
  14. I am day 13 post Sleeve and Hiatal Hernia Repair. I am still having pain under my left clavicle when I take a deep breath, cough hard, etc. Has ANYONE experienced pain like this? I had a CT scan for blood clots in the lungs on Saturday am and praise the Lord it is negative. But the pain is still here. Heating pad has not helped. Thanks everyone...
  15. Hi~ !! I had my sleeve and hernia repair on August 18th too! I have not had that kind of pain but I do have pain under my left clavicle with deep breathing. At times it is intense. Have you had this type of pain? Thanks.
  16. I cannot creat a weight loss ticker. It never goes through. I think Bariatric Pal is having some glitches
  17. Went to the ED this am aftrecalling my surgeon. No PE!! Praise the Lord Jesus. However, I still hurt, they are not sure why. I have to go to my PCP on Tuesday. Still hurts under my left clavicle when I take a deep breath. Even got a massage hoping it would get better but it didn't. Thanks everybody.
  18. He said something to be aware of but that he did not seany other symptoms to point to that. I am sleepng with heat tonight and deciding about ED in the am. I hate to go there andend up sick!!!
  19. Thanks everyone. I am up and moving. A little worried that it started so long post op. Went to see surgeon for check up today, he told me may be air, may be muscle/bone, or maybe PULMONARY EMBOLISM!! So I have a heating pad on it now. If it gets worse I will head to the ED. Prayers for no PE please!!!
  20. Don't worry about these people! The want for surgery and to be healthy has to come from you and you alone. Maybe your hubby and yourself can go to some therapy sessions? I agree with above that you need a new PCP. Mine is completely on board. I had my VSG on Monday 8/18. No regrets. I am doing this for me because I want to LIVE and be a part of my children's and grandchildren's lives. DEVIL defeated <3
  21. I have been experiencing pain in my left shoulder. On/off. Worsens with deep breathing or hiccoughs. Anybody else experience this? I am seeing my surgeon at 2 today.
  22. What are the easiest vitamins to take and cause the least indigestion or nausea?
  23. I think she is asking you these things because she cares. Le me tell you...my precious Mama died 10 years ago this coming October from ALS otherwise known as Lou Gehrigs disease. You really should be thanful that you still have your Mom and ha she cares. Nobody in he world cares about you like your Mom. I would give ANYTHNG to be able to have a conversation with my Mama. Be patient with you. she just simply loves you. I wish I had my Mama (or Daddy, he has passed away as well) alive to care about me.
  24. I have reflux but my gastroenterologist and bariatric surgeon agree that the sleeve is best for me. They concur that losing the weight will automatically decrease my reflux. I will be on Prilosec for a while postop and then they hope to wean me off of that as well. I take Prednisone periodically for asthma and I also have a small hiatal hernia. He is fixing the hiatal hernia while he is in there for my sleeve. He said that the prednisone will be fine, in bursts, postop as long as I take my prilosec with it. I did not want the malabsorption and dumping issues that often result post bypass. Good luck with your decision. I am so excited. My surgery is Monday! First Case!! :D
