I didn't bring a lot. But I definitely recommend bringing a robe and Chapstick!

    Spanx/spandex Shades of Steel Magnolias

I just bought one of the Walmart ones and it seems great so far. Mine has straps and dips under my bra and then ends just below my stomach. It has a silicone strip at the bottom and seemed to stay in place. I reached and jumped around to try to get it to move, but didn't budge.

    Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies

Thanks! I love my gym. I go to snap fitness which is open 24 hours. I love being able to go in at night when no one is there The only restrictions that I have are no vigorous excercise and lifting over 20 lbs. But that is lifted on Monday, so I should be able to step up my workouts soon! I'm returning to work on 11/3 as well.

    Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies

I'm not doing much in the gym, just walking, but I feel like I go just a little bit harder and longer there vs. walking in my neighborhood. My physical restrictions get lifted on Monday, so I'm excited to be able to start doing my full workouts again! Good job on the loss already!! I had my first post op last Monday and everything was good. I was down 17 lbs and was so happy!

    Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies

How's everyone doing? I'm doing really good! I had an issue with nausea when I was in the hospital, but since I've been home, I haven't felt sick at all. I've also started back at the gym walking on the treadmill every night. The first night that I did I was very light headed, so ever since then I've been concentrating on liquids and Protein even more and it has helped big time. I hope everyone is doing great!

    Calling all October Sleevers

Hi guys! I was sleeved 10/13 and had to stay in the hospital for two nights due to severe nausea. Since then, I haven't had any, which I'm so thankful for!!! I am on liquids for 2 more weeks and today I was able to add cream soups and yogurt. So far, my sleeve has been amazing with adding foods! It likes to talk to me right after eating, but it's only for a few seconds and then it's quiet. I've been lucky that it likes my protein shakes with skim milk too! I'm able to walk for 20-30 minutes a day, which has helped a lot! Today at my one week post op, I have lost 14 lbs.

    NSV shout outs

I'm only a week out and had my very first NSV!! I bought a pair of dress pants 3 years ago that were way too small at the time, just in case I decided to lose weight. I found them in the back of my closet and decided to try them on...and they fit perfectly!! I'm so excited for the rest of this journey that I'm on!!

    3 days post op

I had quite a bit of pain from the gas, but like everyone else says, the only thing that really helped was walking around. So, whenever I start to feel it, that's my sign to get up and get going before it gets any worse.

    3 days post op

I was sleeved on 10/13 and I had to stay an extra night too for the same reason. The day of and 1st day post up were pretty rough for me with nausea and pain. But yesterday I only had a little nausea, and today I haven't had any. So hopefully I'm passed the worst days

Well, I'm finally home from the hospital. I had to stay two nights bc I was having an issue with nausea. Things are going pretty good now though. Still feel sick if I don't pay attention when I'm drinking. How is everyone else doing?

I'm so sorry that they decided to postpone your surgery I needed to lose 13lbs before surgery, and so far I've lost 27lbs.

    Looking for 10/13 surgery buddies

I'm scheduled to have surgery on 10/13 too. I can't believe that it will be here so soon! I am only required to do the liquid pre-op diet for the day before, but I have been doing it since Monday just to get used to it. Nice to meet all of you!

I do too! I just met him today for the first time and he was awesome. He answered all of my questions extremely thoroughly and had a very pleasant demeanor. I'm glad I picked him! When are you getting yours done?

Hi all! I'm kinda new around here. I've been reading the forums for a while, but haven't really posted yet. Today I finally got my surgery date, on October 13! I will be getting it done by Dr. Baker at Unity Hospital in Fridley. Has anyone else gone there? So far, everyone there has been amazingly helpful!

Hi everyone! And congrats to all!! I finally got my surgery date today which is October 13! I am so excited! Of course I'm also nervous, but I'm sure that's pretty normal
  23. Thank you for that info! I've never heard if that before. Interesting! I hope that clears up super fast for you! Alright, I have one more question. What exactly is a NUT? I see it on here all the time and I think it's the dietician, but not sure
  24. Glad your appointment went well!! If you don't mind me asking, what exactly is H. Pylori? I 'm just starting out in the process. I've had the initial consultation to figure out what steps need to be taken for the surgeon and insurance. Thank God with my insurance it doesn't sound like it will be a very long process! I have set up my appointment to do my phone call "appointment" with health partners (I have to do 5 in 10 weeks) and I'm waiting for my appointment with dietician and psych eval on June 16.
  25. Hi there! I would love to have a buddy during this process. I am 29 5'8 and 275lbs. I am just starting out in this process, but if all goes as planned, they should be able to try for approval in mid July. So hopefully surgery in late August/early September. I am so excited to start living my new life!
