  3. Are they having you eat healthy carbs regularly?
  4. Wow, I am still running in the nineties most days, 7 weeks post op, quit meds the day before surgery.
  5. My doc told me at my six weeks that I could have stopped crushing at 2 weeks but some how he neglected to tell me, so have you asked your doc, he may have forgotten.
  6. I feel crappy and weak, darker urine, but the one that tells me to get busy drinking, is my veins all flatten out in my hands.
  7. Surgery was 10/14, but I lost 50 preop, so I had lost almoat 50% before surgery, 25 post op.
  8. Big milestone, 149 this morning. 30 pounds to my goal of 119 and I saw my surgeon Monday, he was very pleased and said if I keep up the good work I could be at 110 by my six month follow up. On stage 4 now, solid foods, just in time for thanksgiving.
  9. @@Bronxmerci I hope they get it figured out, I hate it for you.
  10. The woman who mentioned it, said her bro in law was having it soon, for weight loss
  11. Someone mentioned this, the name is wrong but the gist of it is they place a "sock" around your stomach so it can get no larger, you can not stretch out the stomach.
  12. For the first couple weeks, with your new baby belly, you get new baby poop. I swear that's what it was like. Sorry for the TMI.
  13. Decided to cut six inches and put some color in my hair. The second picture was two weeks ago.
  14. most importantly, never trust a fart! (for me, just in the first couple weeks) and I forgot~
  15. @@amylynns hope you are feeling better and back on track soon.
  16. I will be on solid foods Monday so will be able to eat turkey on thanksgiving. I am going to my boyfriends family, so I plan to do a test run of turkey dinner on tuesday, as well as make some "EGGFACE" turkey and brie bites to bring to thanksgiving. Just don't want to have a dumping incident on thanksgiving in front of his family. I have not had any dumping so far but that would suck if I did.
  17. My body feels foreign to me, those are not my thin shoulders, my ankles are svelt, my fingers are delicate looking, not the swollen sausages from before. But that is all AWESOME!!!! I have to keep just feeling my shoulders, even my chest, I can see collar bones and it is all so strange, but makes me smile. I have lost 72 pounds in my journey and still have another 34 to go for my goal.
  18. Can we take both multis in the am or do we need to take separate. I have been doing them together from the beginning but started wondering.
  19. So type 2 diabetes here, my numbers were under control before surgery with Janumet. Post surgery, no more meds, and the first few weeks my numbers were good, even saw some ranging around 90. I have found when I get mentally stressed out my numbers will go up, not outrageous but higher, 125 to 140, morning numbers. Now I am not stressing mentally about anything really at this point, but my numbers are still high, seen 125 to 150 this week. Could some of this be the physical stress of the surgery and changes, cranky about my diet, 9 more days on pureed. What numbers are other folks seeing post op? I was diagnosed with diabetes in March 2014, so really don't understand the numbers except when I am anxiety ridden, they go up. I am afraid I will still need diabetes meds:( :(
  20. My test was during the preop hospital stuff, during all the other labs week before surgery
  21. @ amylynns, sorry you are having troubles. Are you eating things that can irritate? Red sauce, tomato based or heavily seasoned? Other then that, I would be calling dr.
  22. I was told the half cup limit during pureed stage, don't know about later.
  23. I will prolly try after I get off pureed.
  24. I am 2 weeks in to pureed, and seriously over pureed at this point.. So I would love some ideas. Things I have done are a white chicken chili, a simple recipe and pureed well, held its taste and flavor. Mccormicks white chicken chili mix, follow their recipe with broth but add corn and 1/2 can of low fat cream of chicken Soup. dice up some avocado for topping with some shredded cheese.
