  1. Thanks guys, went to the grocery store and got some better foods, rode a bike for a bit, can't take care of her if I don't take care of myself.
  2. Hey all october losers, I am stuck in a stall, and feeling it. I am staying with my mom in DC taking care of her, she has cancer and starting radiation and chemo tomorrow, she has a feeding tube as she is not able to swallow anything due to the cancer. I am down, and frustrated with my stall. Need to pay attention to my meals a bit more, but it is hard. wah, wah wah, blah blah blah. A long time friend was supposed to come see tonight and he is a no show, bummer. Miss my guy friend back in GA. Oh well, enough of the pity party.
  3. I went out New Years Eve and wore these heels, have not worn heels like this in 25 years. Danced all night and never had to go out to the car for my back up flats.
  4. Cant believe it, never even thought this was a possibility last New Years. 85 pounds gone since March 21, the day I was diagnosed with Diabetes. Who would have thought that would be the beginning of my new healthy life. Woot woot!!! Happy New Years to the best support group there is.
  5. so while I was home in Virginia, I convinced my son to order a Roy Roger's gold rush chicken sandwich, so I could have a few bites. I had 4 small bites, thought I chewed well and ended up in terrible pain and the foamies. Guess that was not such a good idea. Live and learn, that was the worst food experience so far. BUT.... after all the holidays and food, where I ate small bites of lots of things, I ended up dropping 2 more pounds, so must not have been as bad as I thought. I just might make my goal of 140 by new years eve. 1.5 pounds to get there. A girl can hope.
  6. my hiccup is my full signal, sometimes it means just past full and comes with discomfort if I had not eaten slow enough. But definitely means I am full up!
  7. Reached this goal days ago but dis not realize it until today. I am OVERWEIGHT, no longer obese. 29.1 bmi. Woot woot. My guy is taking me to a masquerade party New Years Eve, trying to find something fabulous on a low budget.
  8. I had hiatal hernia repaired, and after surgery, they gave me the patch behind my ear 4 days, then a liquid antacid for two weeks, I have not had any nausea, though I still burp if I eat or drink too fast. Also, days after surgery I figured out that plain water did not agree with me at all, it gave me liquid burps and stomach pain. had to drink powerade zero or crystal light, been afraid to drink straight water ever since.
  9. I had two or thee small bites of chocolate pecan pie, with no problem, but I had some dumping with sugar free chocolate pudding with added chocolate truffle protein powder added. I think it was the bigger serving, as it was all plan approved but very rich, and I had one to many bites. I got hot, sweaty, heart racing and nauseous.
  10. Better than tube socks
  11. @@Beni, for you, a non potato sack dress I tried on for fun, didnt buy it, it was $100 at TJ Maxx, and could not justify, but I look Fabulous!
  12. New milestone 80 pounds down. I can not believe it. Last year at this time, I was miserable, saw no hope for the future and look at me now. 25 pounds from my goal weight, Woot Woot!
  13. I went a couple weeks fluctuating up and down a pound, and then I have lost 3 since weds. Patience and perseverance are required for this to work.
  14. Nope No ticket!!!
  15. Here is a funny, got pulled over by a cop today, he takes my driver's license, and checked it out and said "200 POUNDS, YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE YOU WEIGH 200 POUNDS" in a very snarky tone, almost like I was 400 saying 200, and with a big grin I responded, Yep, I have lost 79 pounds, course that was from 225, didn't need to tell him that.
  16. @@Bronxmerci, whoooh, can you hear my sigh of relief, so glad you are still with us. Keep doing what you are supposed to and you will feel back to normal or even better than normal due to weight loss. ????????????
  17. My experience so far has been a good one, 2 months out. I would describe most of my pain as general discomfort. Biggest problem I had was figuring out that plain Water was not my friend, have to do flavored water, Powerade zero etc. Have tolerated most foods well, just need to remember to slow down. Most folks go through a period of regret, but it passes as the pounds are lost. I lost 50 preop and 28 post op in two months. Best thing I did, wish I could have before.
  18. I sent a pm to BronxMerci, I was not sure if anyone else had. I know I am a worrywort, but this is cause for worry.
  19. I tried a sample and went running back to my flinstone chewables
  20. My boyfriend told me I was looking pretty sexy yesterday, little better than calling me skinny butt. He is not big on the complements, so made me feel good.
  21. ok has anyone heard from her? hope she is doing ok.
  22. @@Beni, congrats on the loss. Keep it up. I joined a gym this week, rode 4 mile the first day, then second day only 2 miles and got trained on the weight machines. Yesterday full work out, 4 miles and a full set on the weight machines. Trying to decide if I should go today or weight until tomorrow... we shall decide later, nap right now as I left for work at 4 am. Sleepy girl. Keep up the good work, and those that are struggling, it will get better, hang in there.
  23. @@Bronxmerci, go to the ER now, please. This could be serious.
  24. I am trying today, will let you know how it goes.
