March 07 Bandsters: Congratulations to all of you on your anniversary!! You've done phenomenal!!!!!- How much food do you eat at your sweet spot?
This is about the best post I've ever read on this board! Way to go.- 1st fill today, Great Experience!
I had my second one today! Went great.....waited a looooooooooooooooooong time an hour actually which brought about my 'needlephobic' anxiety...but it was easy ! So now I have 3.5 in a 10cc band...here''s to finding our sweet spot soon!!!!!- Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)
I left off the word "some"- Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)
Wow 6.0! How many fills did it take to get there? I'm a little hesitant to go get a fill but I am....because when I fly the band seems to get tighter and I have a trip coming up to Utah...I just need to stop trying to talk myself out of it own it, and get busy on losing some pounds....! I have the APS band I think it holds 10cc and then the APL holds 14. I hear the, while sweet spots are different, 5.0-5.5 seems popular for- Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)
Yep it is pretty cool to wake up in the morning and have so many choices where there use to only be one option "TIGHT"....and I've tried on EVERYTHING in my closet just because I can......: )....it's kinda fun....and it was really cool to give away bunches of clothes that had become my mainstay of wears! So, not complaining...I know I want to be at goal by my bandiversary..which is Sept 08..and I knew going in with a lower BMI might take longer...now, that's not to say I couldn't start exercising and being a little more cautious of what I'm eating....I'm going to get better...Going to suck it up and get a fill this week..............OMG......can I GET SOME VALIUM TO GO WITH THAT!!!- Lower BMI thread (I guess we got moved!)
Hi Lovingwhatis....we are very close in weight and loss and we had our surgeries pretty close too! I've only had one fill and I've not found anything yet that I cannot eat or drink. I think I'm going to go in for my 2nd fill next week....I made it through the holidays and lost some weight, just tried to stick to the one bite of each thing for dinner and I guess it worked...we won't talk about the drinks at New Years...but oh well..... I have a 10cc band with 2.0 fill that I got in Nov i think...I absolutely HATE needles, so not sure what I was thinking...thought I could take it......ok...maybe I can....I've noticed the scale moves VERY slow, but i am loosing ton of inches and have gone down 3 sizes...so guess I won't complain...but it is SLOW!!!!!!!- Dr. Spivak's patients .....
Ms. Patricia is the African American lady that always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Typically, she was the one who weighed me and set me up before going to a room. I really liked her she was so sweet!- Dr. Spivak's patients .....
I really liked Ms. Patricia!!! I'm so disappointed!- Throwing up! UGH
thanks for the replies... was able to keep down some velvty potato soup this morning. Feeling much much better. Still thinking about going in for a partial unfil. I'm sure I probably overate in the airport on Wednesday or just had a virus of some sort. Going to call the nurse back this morning to see what she thinks since I have to leave again for Utah on Monday......- Throwing up! UGH
Today was not a good day! I was banded in September 07, lost 29 lbs in the first month and a half and nothing since. I had a fill about 3 weeks ago, and felt no change. I did fly earlier this week and I read somewhere that sometimes people feel restriction with flying....Everytime I would drink or eat anything today I would throw up (ugh nothing to throwup on liqids) within the hour. Then I had diharrea!!! The nurse said something may be stuck or i may just need an unfill..... Question, would you go and get an unfil or try to just get liquids down for a few days?:sick - Monthly Weight Loss Report
