My journey so far!
I think most everyone experiences the dreaded stall. I was stalled for 3 weeks. I had to up my protein (I was constantly under 60 grams) and my water intake. Once I did that the weight started coming off again. Good luck to you.

How old do you think I am?
I'm going to guess 37 and I only say that because I'm 37 and still get carded at the casino or for drinks, lol. But you look very young at about 19 years old. No matter how old you are, you look fantastic!

plateau for 4 months with no weight loss. Considering HCG?
Hailey I'm so sorry to hear of your trouble losing weight. Instead of avoiding your surgeon due to embarrassment about your lack of weight loss, you should contact the surgeon to have tests run to make sure everything is ok. There could be something wrong. I pray that nothing is wrong and that your situation changes. Please do not give up.

Sushi and diarrhea
Hi Patoonces, I've had this same experience with Sushi. I had diarrhea for 3 days. I was running to the bathroom so much I had to leave work early one day. I have stayed away from Sushi since and you may want to do the same. Best of luck to you on your journey.

Mistakes women make at the gym
I am a female and I actually enjoyed the article. Yes he could have kept the name calling to himself but sometimes we need this harsh tone to get points through to our brain. Plus it gives us more motivation to prove that we are not what someone just called us. I am actually going to implement some of his methods and see how they work for me personally. Starting Monday 6/30/14 and for the next 4-6 weeks I am going to lift heavier weights (but not kill myself heavy) 3 times a week with 2 days of 30 minute cardio in between. After 4 weeks I'm going to record my results and if I like what I see I will continue for another 2 weeks then change up my routine for the next 4-6 weeks as suggested. We have all tried so many diets/exercise routines in an effort to lose weight/get fit that I figured I should give it a try. Wish me luck everyone. And I wish you all the best on your weight lost journey.

3 1/2 months out sleeve before/after (PICS)
Hi Lindsay. I am in amazement of transformation. You've done an awesome job! My tummy is the hardest thing to lose. I am curious as to what workout routine you did to get your tummy to the current state in so little time. Did you have a trainer? Do you mind sharing your workout routine? Again, awesome job!

4 wks post surgery, gaining weight and panicking
@ member Happy..,Your doctor is absolutely wrong about the stall! I had a 3 week stall at 5 weeks post op. During that time I wasn't getting in enough protein because dense protein made me full too quickly. I took the advice of several members on this site about increasing my protein. I did this by adding an extra protein shake daily. By increasing my protein I broke the stall and lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks. Trying increasing your protein and water intake and decrease your carb intake and you will do well.

One year surgiversary!
Hi there! I was in a stall for several weeks. I only eat between 600-850 daily and I'm usually on the lower end because I get full really quickly when I eat dense protein. I took everyone's advice and increased my water and protein (I now drink 2 shakes a day) and it paid off. I lost 3 pounds this week. Yay me. So you may need to increase your protein and water intake. I hope this helps.

That's cheating!
I love Kaylee's response about asking those who say it's cheating to tell why it's cheating. We still have to eat right and exercise just the same as those who supposedly "aren't cheating." It's actually more difficult for us now because we have more eating restrictions to adhere to than someone who hasn't had wls. So believe me when I say it's in no way cheating! I tell everyone that I had wls because I could care less what they say or think. But that's me and I know everyone is different. Please don't let anyone make you feel bad for having the surgery. I wish you all much success now and in the future!

Gall bladder removal...soon!
Hello. I had sleeve/galllbladder surgery on 4/8/14. Prior to the surgery I had severe back pain on a daily basis. Since the surgery I've had zero back pain. I'm so glad I decided to have my gallbladder removed the same time as my sleeve surgery. Sending you prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery.
