You know you lost weight when
You need to tighten the straps on your sandals because they are too loose.

recipes for four weeks out
Baked salmon with a light coating of olive oil and sprinkle of basil. This was very easy for my stomach to digest. I have also had success with grilled asparagus. Tuna mixed with cottage cheese. Baked potato is easy to digest.

Hi everyone
Hi Nate, big decision. I just got sleeved June 24 th. It is definitely going to work if you follow the guidelines. It is a slow but sure way to take off weight. I lost 14 pounds before surgery and 17 pds in the past 5 weeks. I had 9 days where I didn't lose anything, but a stall is pretty normal. It will definitely train you to view food as fuel. You have to make careful food choices so you don't damage your sleeve for about 6-8 weeks. I started walking in my 3 week post op. I am up to 2 miles a day now. You are a man and young, you will lose faster than me! But everything I read on this site says exercise is the key to health weight loss. You will have your struggles like everyone but will achieve your goal in the end. Good luck to you.

OMG i just
Wow, seriously impressive! Good job

Question for those that met their goals...
My understanding is you will lose the fastest in the 1st 6 months but will lose 50-60% of total weight, by a year 65-75% and the the rest in the next year. There are a lot of variables that affect everybody's journey. But if you stay on course you will get to your goal. Even with the sleeve the last weight is the hardest. But their are hundred's of sucess stories to read of those who did it! Good journey!

Post op issues...
At 3 weeks out I had really blinding pain in my large incision area. Surgeon said this is normal and to take pain killers until it desists. You have to keep ahead of the pain to control it! I too have only lost 3 pds in last 2 weeks. Frustrating but not uncommon. Hang in there.,

new to this
You will find many different views and voices to touch base with on this site. I am only 3 weeks of surgery and check in to BP everyday for ideas of confirmation of what is happening to me. Good Luck it is an awesome and intense journey.

Struggling :(
I was sleeved on June 24 th and have also been struggling with food choices. Nothing sounds good. Half the things I 'm support to eat making my stomach hurt! The shakes are sooooo sweet. Even cutting the flavor with powdered peanut butter or yogurt isn't enough. Yuck. Also frustrated!

Eating at 3 months out
Thank you for this post. A reality check of the future.

Advil pm, yikes are we allowed?
I just took 2 Advil pm. I haven't been sleeping well and didn't want to take a pain killer just to sleep? How big a mistake is this! Feel so stupid.

Anyone Hungry?
I I am also 6 days out and craving food. I have been following the guidelines getting in protein drinks and other clear liquids. But i find I want something of substance.i feel like I am fighting this urge all day. Pretty frustrated.

Two days post op. Still on 2 oz.
I was sleeved Tuesday also. So weird only being able to eat a few bites of mellow and having to stop. Came home today and have already taken 2 naps. The pain management is better in the hospital but feels good to go home to my own bed. Take care

Horrible gastric issues from pre surgery antibiotics
Has anyone else had issues with the pre surgery antibiotic making them ill. I have been up most of the night and report for surgery at 9:00. I don't think I can face 5 more days of the diarrhea. I am going to talk with the nurses before surgery. On top of being nervous this has put me in a very negative place in my head. VERY Frustrated! Sorry to vent.

Weight loss on pre-op diet

ANY JUNE 25TH SURGERIES?
I have surgery June 24th. I am at the point where I am alittle crabby but see the light at the end of the tunnel. Nervous, doing a little 2 nd guessing of my decision. My best friend said she thought that 120 pds was a manageable amount of weight to lose if you just try. I had to hold my tongue. What did she think I've been doing. Very Frustrated!

What's one thing you hope to enjoy after you've lost the weight?
Besides buying clothes in a store of my choice I have always wanted to try running. Have set my sight on running a 5 k next year. Here's to making it happen!

Seeking June 24th surgery dates
My surgery is also June 24th. Started 1000 calories a day on Monday, clear liquids on saturday. Starting to get nervous. Husband very supportive. Was going to buy a robe for hospital but thought save your money. You won't wear that size long!just going to get another gown and wear it backwards. For walking the halls. Funny I am not as worried about surgical pain, more worried about gas pain from the air inside me.
