How upfront was your surgeon about a goal weight?

This stall is kicking my butt!
@@ChronicJam Frustrating...right? It will break. I don't know of anyone who had a steady line of weight loss. Its more like stair steps. The weight will hang on for a while... then it will drop. go up a few at times then drop again. Work you're program. stay on track. It just takes time

Curious-Is it hard to cook family meals after sleeve.
@@haleyk It has been easy for me to cook for the family. They eat healthier. I make chicken or Steak fajitas. They have a tortilla I don't. I always make more than what the family will eat to freeze in small containers. Frozen left overs are a easy microwave lunch for me at work. Ground turkey chilly. I make a few corn bread muffins for the family I make sure they eat them all that night. I don't want to be tempted. banana slices with sugar free chocolate pudding(added Protein powder). I add a bit of sugar free caramel topping on the bananas. I chop up a sugar free toffee and nuts and sprinkle them on top Asian stir fry. I serve it with brown rice. I'm far enough out that I'm allowed brown rice. Anyway..There are many resources for bariatric friendly recipes. Try the world according to egg face.

Excess Skin
@@CountryBumkin From a size 22 jeans to a size 3. I have worked out regularly after surgery(cardio and weight training)...... I still have the skin situation I am beyond happy with my WLS results. I have body issues to begin with form years of being obese. . It would help me be less self conscious to have plastics. The skin situation is really not as bad as I thought it would be. Body sharpers do help for now.

My Story + No Support From Wife
@@BA-Fan Sorry to hear about you're situation. For me it was about saving and prolonging my life. I had to make a decision before it was too late. I don't take my life or health for granted. Some things to think about: Would it be worse for you're wife to be in the situation to deal with you're death and figuring out life on her own? OR Would it be easier for her to be uncomfortable with you're decision..and who knows she might be inspired to change. Anyway..my two cents for what ever that's worth:) Jenn

What's with all the "diet" food?
Diet food? Humm I just eat well. I am a type one diabetic. My sugar drops I eat sugar to bring it back up. To manage my diabetes I also work with a dietitian and YES carbs are allowed for my situation. I eat brown rice, wheat bread and potato. All in small amounts. My bulk of my meal is meats/protein. I now hardly use insulin. I seem to have more low blood sugar moments with surgery. I never go crazy on sugar or carbs. Mostly sugar free deserts. It's all a balance to keep my blood sugar and fitness level managed. Love the world according to egg face and I attend amazing bariatric cooking classes through my hospital after care. Food is fantastic. I just no longer abuse food. I use it to nourish and fuel my body.
