Scale has not moved. Why am I still dropping in size?
Am I overreacting? I am at a healthy BMI..... I'm approaching 8 months out. I was a jean size 5/6 at 140. I am working with a trainer. I have reduced cardio and concentrating on weight lifting. I am adding carb's. I get about 1000 calories in. I'm still bouncing around 140's . I'm now a jean size 1/2 and my husband say's my face is looking skeletal. I want to look healthy not sickly. I still freak out when the scale moves up. My head is messed up from being morbidly obese.......This situation is also messing with me.

Hair Extensions
I'm with you. Thin hair before surgery and thinning more with weight loss. I have clip in extensions. I wear them on special occasions. Mine only make my hair long. They do nothing for my thinning hair. I hope to get my hair in shape for valentines day. I looked up on the internet about growing you're hair long. I'm doing a challenge on not using heat/ styling appliances on my hair. I use a Moroccan argan oil deep conditioning treatment over night two days a week. After washing my hair I use heat protector. No styling for now. The shedding has slowed a bit. I don't think there is much we can do about the hair loss. I hope it will stop soon.

6 months post-op today! Living on the other side for half a year...
@@Blazzrr Rock you're 50's life is far to short. What have you been aching to do but you have put off due to career, family and weight? What do you want to do before you're 60th birthday? It's not so much looking at future goal's (goals are still a great thing) It's the hear and now savoring life before it's gone. This age has been the best time in my life. I'm far more relaxed. I have wasted many years. I don't want to have regrets.

Hair Loss
I had thin shoulder length hair before surgery. At three months the hair loss started. I'm not a spokes person for this product. But I use Topix hair fibers for men and women. It does the trick. I'm almost 8 months out and hope my hair will grow back soon.

Relationships, Sex and other Things That Mess Up Your Hair
@@Folly I had to laugh because I'm having the same libido increase. Yes off the scale and my husband is enjoying. I'm also wondering when or if this will level out to normal. I agree. No one mentioned the libido issue. Hope to get more input on this..Any takers????

Relationships, Sex and other Things That Mess Up Your Hair
@@Folly I hope you posted that in the valentines thread for Alex. Fantastic story. Ok I'm open for this conversation. I have been with my husband since I was in my 20's. Sex was amazing then. We got older and my weight increased and my health declined. Sex honestly became a chore. I lost my drive. My amazing husband has stuck it out through some tough times with my health issues. To have me back means more to him than the weight loss. Don't get me wrong. The weight loss has been a great thing for our sex life. He has seen me at my heaviest weight so loose skin is nothing to make me self conscious. I'm loving dressing up for him and going out on dates. I'm still getting used to him telling me I'm hot. Very sweet but I don't see it. He has taken me to Victoria's secret and walked out with size small pantie's big NSV. I'm very open, adventurous, loving life and in love with my husband. The sleeve has done a big turn around in our lives. SOOOOO thankful. The hair issue...Pulling my hair in bed in my 20's was hot..Now that I'm loosing hair with weight loss hair is precious to me.

Diabetes?
@@619Raf Hello, I'm a type one diabetic and sleeved. normal range is 70-120 fasting. I now have more low blood sugars after surgery. I use my insulin once in a great while. My dietitian gave me advice that if my blood sugar drops to drink watered down orange juice. When its watered down it doesn't upset my tummy as much. I also have glucose tablets with me when I'm out of the house.

Valentine’s Day Question: Has Weight Loss Surgery Improved Your Relationship?
Wow, My husband and I have always had a solid relationship. After weight loss surgery I have found myself again. Besides the regained confidence I have become a genuinely happy person and I have found things that I am passionate about in life. Passion with my husband has definitely increased. We chase each other around like teenagers and have started dating again. My husband is my biggest cheerleader. Throughout the Bariatric process he has always believed in me. We are both beyond happy about the physical changes with WLS. The changes in my personality have blown him away. I have a positive drive for living life. I don't plan on wasting this amazing gift I have received from this process. My husband has made reservations for dinner on Valentines day. I have bought a hot little red dress for him. I am so fortunate to actually be in love with the man that has been in my life for 20 years.
