  1. I'm the same as @Mike4132. I hiccup or burp. It's my signal to stop.
  2. No offense to men that are reading this thread. But I would love to hear a guy's take on all this.
  3. @@VSGAnn2014 *laughing* I'm trying to envision women standing around the grocery store waiting to buy a guy's groceries. I guess food is the way to your heart. LOL
  4. @@sa1976 Wow look at you! thanks for the before and after pict's. You have done amazing.
  5. @@mi75 Funny that we have no control over where the weight comes off first. I had small chicken legs and a big middle for quite a while. Just know It will all balance out in time.
  6. @@joatsaint So excited for you..Do you have a 5k run in mind that you plan to participate in?
  7. @@catlover2565 It's fine to be nervous. I was hyper sensitive to being on track. You are doing fine with your weight loss. Like @@JamieLogical said. It's a good thing to know if your blood work is out of wack. Just needs to be adjusted.
  8. @@zsmom2003 For me at three months my weight loss started slowing down. Calories, I was also at 700. I realized at that point that my honeymoon phase was over. I am one of those people if I don't move the scale does not move. Be patient with yourself weight loss rates are different for all of us.
  9. Fantastic! 8 months out so impressive. What do you plan to do to celebrate onderland?
  10. @@Monasongbird_38 Wow, Maybe it's my age or lack of experience with this... but men really do this? Yes, Take it as a compliment!
  11. @@AvaFern Yep, It's my inner fat girl. I have that standoffish personality as well. I'm trying to shake it.
  12. @@Pepper123 I guess it's nice to get a bit of attention. But it's strange at the same time...Just wanted to ask..Do women do the same to men after weight loss surgery? Do men get the same reaction?
  13. After years of being invisible to men. I'm not quite sure what to think about attention I get now. I am happily married and not looking. I am baffled that men even look at me. I have my wedding ring on. What is going on???? A younger man asked if he could pay for my groceries. I told him that was sweet but no... I have it...He was fine and smiled and went on his way. A month later I had two younger men in front of me in a grocery store check out. They insisted on buying my groceries. They would not take no for an answer. I brought home a free dinner for me and my husband. Is this a new way to pick up women that I am clueless about? Holiday's I was at a sports pub for a drink. Bar tender asked for my ID. (I'm an old chick) I said..I'm a grand ma and you want my ID? He laughed and said he wanted to know if I was close to his age. My drink arrived and he paid for it. ..Again I'm clueless. I guess I should be flattered about the attention. I'm so used to being invisible that I don't pick up on what the motivation is from men sometimes...laughing at myself. I'm clueless. Does the attention seem a bit amplified because I'm not used to it? Does it mellow out and go away?
  14. @@*Lexie* I'm still not sure how to take what he said.
  15. My local support group is geared toward people in weight loss mode. The information presented seems to be repeat. I have met some vet's and they are great support. They do not attend regularly and quite a few have dropped out completely.
  16. After a consult with my trainer today he said....I need to back off from my workouts. I'm over training.
  17. @@CanyonBaby Hummm who are "they" that say if you don't have a hobby by 40 you won't have one? *laughing* I am living life up at 46. I'm an adrenaline junkie! Always up for something new. Never to old to live an amazing life Hobby's kayaking Distance run's for our vet's, cancer and diabetes I'm a gym rat. 18. @@Idonerds For some of us it seems that with weight loss surgery you project a positive and confident self image. People seem to approach and talk to you more.

  20. Check with your Dr. to see if all is well. Sorry to hear about having complications. I hope from here on out all will go as planned.
  21. @@JamieLogical Pictures I think I can handle seeing. My husband said I need to put one next to the bed and one on the bathroom mirror. Trying to get my head to catch up to the weight loss.
  22. I'm having a hard time finding pictures that have my body type. I'm glad to know I'm not the only person interested in seeing this stuff. My husband is sick of me asking "do I look like that" and pointing to a random person. I just don't have a good understanding of what I look like.
  23. Parmesan Crisps PreparationPreheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a nonstick baking sheet. (Do not use cooking spray.) Mound level tablespoonfuls of cheese about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Bake until the cheese is melted, soft and a very light golden color, about 6 minutes. 24. @@Big Opie I had the sleeve. I had the sleeve because I'm a type one diabetic and still have to eat sugar when my blood sugar levels are low. I wanted to avoid dumping syndrome. I'm happy with my choice. So far no complications.
