Are you kidding me?
@@mark1733 We are always encouraged to lift weights/strength train. Look at the weight we carried around for years. Can we count that as strength training?

Its fantastic that you are seeing a counselor to address your weight loss issues. You have support on this site. Also with your counselor. You are moving in the right direction, Jenn

The thoughtless comments
@@dhrguru This may or may not be the case in your relationship.Just a few things you might want to consider This might be Insecurity of the changes that are happening to you so quickly. After 85 pounds you are looking good and feeling good. He may be feeling a bit left behind or a bit threatened that the opposite sex is taking notice of you. A few things I did to help my hubby as insecurity issues started creeping in: Reassure him. Invite him on a walk even if he says no at least you tried to include him Date night: dinner is a great place to talk and reconnect. Weight loss couples rewards.. A reward of new item from Victoria secret he might enjoy.

Holy crap!!!! I knew my weight loss is the equivalent of losing an adult size person...... I looked at my own weight loss ticker. I just realized I have lost exactly myself.

My breath is kickin like chicken.
@@chuck415 I do Listerine breath strips. They melt on your tongue. Easy to put in the front pocket of my jeans. I have washed my jeans with them in my pocket and now my laundry is minty fresh. Not recommending washing them

What have you learned to love since WLS?
I love living life. I'm able to do so many more things that I could not do Pre-op. I'm up for trying anything. I have to laugh at myself for making up for lost time.

A bunch of steps forward and one step back
@@Kspot42 Hi there. I'm also in Idaho. The St Luke's team have been amazing. You will get many after care programs. I'm not sure you have time to participate. A 3 hour drive would wipe me out. Hang in there. You have the pr-op class coming up. I understand it feels like things are moving slow. Get ready to hang on for the ride...after a year you will look back at how quickly time has passed.

@RJ'S/beginning You are justified to feel the way you do. I'm sorry about all you have had to go through. Honestly you are beautiful. I'm not minimizing your experience. I have not walked in your shoes. Plastics will not be in my future. At my age nothing has bounced back. Not much is in its correct place. Under the clothing I look like a Shar-Pei puppy.

@@jane13 @RJ'S/beginning I agree. It is ridiculous the lengths she went to cover her loose skin. I'm not suggesting anyone do the above binding. Her story was on the TV series botched. They completed her plastics after she shared her story. If you can afford plastics and your health gives you the option to get plastics. that's fantastic. I hope people see that loose skin is ok. We worked hard to get our health back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zUPfc87wRI

@RJ'S/beginning First..you are beautiful and valued as you are. You have earned your battle scars. You have worked hard. Wear them proudly. Here is one woman's daily routine to tuck her skin in. (1) control top panty hose (2) wrapping ace bandages around her mid section (3) Duct tape mid section (4) another pair of control top pany hose (5) Long spanx to cinch in her thighs (6) another pair of spanx to lift boobs and cover all the layers previous.

Sushi
@@sarahbethemails Rice was not on my plan. Carbs were limited until I lost 75% of my weight.. I'm in maintenance. Rice seems to bloat me up. (TMI) I love California rolls. In a food processor i mixed crab meat, carrot cucumber and cilantro. To a chunky consistency, I mixed olive oil mayo to create a salad. I stuff it in a small avocado. its not shashimi. but I love sushi.
