anyone REGRET the sleeve?
Yes I regret it every damn day, 7 mths post op and even though it has got better I would never recommend this to anyone. When I did my research I thought yes this is what I want to do before I get old and have real health issues but I am with Susan. I was totally prepared to eat smaller meals but really to have to eat at a snails pace every single time is so tiring and cumbersome and yeah there are other things but no point going on and on......

Working out the sleeve
I just posted this on another forum - How long did it take you to work out yr sleeve? I am 7 mths out and really have no idea. The only thing I notice is when I am full but I have read from many other sleevers that they really listen to their tummy, maybe I just don't get it

Confession time - soda
The only thing I ever wanted was a coke zero, I made myself wait 6 mths to have one, my surgeon was fine with it and it doesn't effect my sleeve at all... And for whatever reason I only drink it on the weekends!!!

Does anyone regret it?
@@njkelly, Just know you are not alone. I to suffered really bad with nausea for 4 mths straight, every single hour of the day! I have never suffered with depression but sent myself off for a chat, it kind of helped. My surgeon tried everything and nothing worked except motion sickness pills, took 1 every night for about a week one morning the nausea was gone. I am 6 mths out and still struggle with this NEW life but it's a little easier now than 2 mths ago. Pls pm me if you need to...

Drinking While Eating
I am 6 mths out and always have a coffee every morning with my breakfast. I am able to drink right upto I eat any meal, however I do tend to wait at least 15 mins after my evening meal, I think it's more cause I am full, have occasionally had a sip while eating - no issue, on the other hand I am not very good at followng the rules to a 'T'

I suffered pre-sleeve with motion sickness (planes, trains, buses, boats) anything that moves, i am fine in a car as long as i am driving. I am thinking of booking a trip which includes flying but not sure how my stomach will be after being sleeved. Has anyone else suffered with this and has it got better or worse after being sleeved???

Still Stuck...Feedback Please!
I never suffered with Gerd but after surgery i had it constantly, mine was not typical gerd, no heartburn or indigestion just the lump in my throat from the acid backing up and burning my throat. Basically my PPIs were making it worse. You need to take something like a tbls of honey in a little warm water to help soothe and coat the throat and esophagus. Hope it improves cause i hated having it every day......

6 mths today
Well today i hit 6 mths of being sleeved. Yes i had complications upto about 4 mths, still have reflux a couple of days out of the week and would love to just be able to eat a little more.... and at a normal pace as you all well know but i think that will come in time i have lost 88 lbs which i would never have been able to do by myself so for that i am thankful. I do have 1 question, i find myself still feeling tired, anyone else 6 mths out??? Each day it does get better, sometimes the regret of what did does come back but life goes on and we must just enjoy it

Nausea & Vomiting
I generally took them of an evening as I was going to bed cause my nausea started no sooner I opened my eyes in the morning. I would try whatever is accessible - just go and speak to the pharmacist. The regret will go as soon as the nausea settles down, i was in tears every day with it but it does get better. I still have days of ill feeling but its easy tolerated - my dr told me that things really don't settle down and get better for 6-12 mths after surgery. Some people are lucky no issues, but for us it will just make us stronger

Nausea & Vomiting
I know how you all feel but rest assured it does get better. I regretted my decision for weeks and then after taking the motion sickness tablets for a couple of days I got up one morning and felt 80% better. It took me about 4 mths to start feeling better although some days I still wake up feeling blah but it's way better. I am now 6 mths post op and have been nausea free for 2 mths and don't regret my decision half as much. Feel free to contact me anytime, this surely isn't easy but together we can help each other
