  1. Lilprincess, thank you so much for your encouraging words, they made me CRY... I just feel at the moment this new life is such a chore instead of it being how I thought, wonderful. I know I need to move forward and some days I really do, then I have a set back and the regret comes flowing in. I will try my best to make this more FUN, just won't promise....
  2. Difficulty in you just can't grab something and eat it - you have to make sure it's not to much, Protein based, eat healthy - always have to think what goes into your mouth, for me I am already tired of the constant thought process I just want to feel normal and eat normal...
  3. I find it difficult to move forward. I wake up every day feeling ordinary, I am not my happy self. I was prepared for the food thing but thought I could have what I want but just in smaller doses and some days even eating is just too difficult. I so bad just want to get back to 'normal' that I feel it will never happen - anyone feel the same??? I would have thought by 4 mths things have turned around but maybe I am just one of the unlucky ones thats going to take longer to adjust p.s and the crying OmG, when does that stop!!!
  4. Without shakes and yoghurt, anyone got ideas how to get in 80 grams of protein???
  5. Can anyone tell me how many calories/protein I should be consuming at just over 4 mths ( I generally eat between 500-800) but have no idea on protein, don't do shakes or yoghurt. I don't have a NUT for advice - thanks
  6. Hi, Does anyone feel the same way about this journey. I did this for me thinking it was the right thing before I got bigger and older but now 4 months out I am just not interested. Sure I have had ongoing complications but how do you move on from this. I just dread every day - and that includes not being able to eat and drink whatever I want!!! Feels like it will never get easier...
  7. Hi, can anyone tell me if it's the same for everyone that at 5 months we can eat more, I thought it was around the 6 month mark. Newlifesils - can you tell me how much you are eating a day, good or bad
  8. Hi everyone, as i have said before i am 4 mths post op but still dont feel quite 'normal' yet. Does anybody else feel like this? I seem to always feel better in the afternoon but i never wake up and bounce out of bed anymore. All my blood work is normal so just hoping its my body adjusting to the new me!
  9. I am so glad i am not alone, i am 4 months post op and cry at the drop of a hat, starting to think it will never get better...
  10. Hi, can anyone tell me what kind of feeling they get when you are getting full. I am just on 4 months post op but dont think i have pushed myself to that level, i am just to scared in case i vomit. I dont weigh my food and try to never overeat.
  11. Marfar, please give me examples of "ALOT" - thanks
  12. Thanks for the reply, can you explain to me the considerably more part??? Did your intake double or just an extra ounce here and there? I am still not sure what the feeling of fullness is, I don't think I have pushed myself to that level yet - never vomitted from eating too much!!!
  13. Hi, I am just wondering when people started to notice when they could eat more, was it 6 mths or 12 mths? I am told at 6 mths our tummy starts to relax a bit making eating a little easier.
  14. Hi Kindle So far I have tried 5 different reflux meds and have now been taken off them totally - go back to the doctor in 3 weeks time to maybe have a scope to see if they can see anything. As for my kidney failure this was caused by taking my bp med with nexium, toxins were produced in my body causing my kidneys to shut down 95%. I thought doing this now (I am 41) would make my golden years easier but I am so very unhappy and cry almost every other day. At 4 months I would have thought things would be easier... I totally regret my decision but know I just have it live with it
  15. Thanks for the replies, how does one know when a certain food no longer agrees with your new tummy???
  16. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the swelling of our stomach to fully subside?? I have heard 6 months and this is when we can eat more
  17. Hi all, Can people give me an idea how much and what they were eating (Good and bad) at 4 months, I know our tums are all different
  18. Hi Everyone, I had my surgery back on the 14th of January and after some complications which are still ongoing ie really really bad reflux (never had it before) and acute kidney failure I just feel my decision will be one I regret for the rest of my life. I am 4 months post op, so miserable, still tired - I just don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone tell me if they feel the same and when does it get better??? I so want to be my happy normal self again
