  1. I was just talking to the nurse at my last appointment about this. She was shocked to hear that it took me several years to regain all nerves at my csection scar. But everyone is different and on a different schedule. Nerve regeneration is very complex.
  2. Ultimately depends on what you are having the surgeon do for you....mine says skin is not very heavy. So if you are having just skin removal without lipo I would only plan for a few pounds. If you are getting lipo....totally different story. I had a lower body lift and breast lift and a good amount of skin removed only. It removed 7 pounds.
  3. I go through bariatric advantage mail order....its not cheap but its convenient.
  4. Anyone having any issues with leg/foot numbness after surgery? I am 7 months out. Would love to hear about it if you are.
  5. I always laugh and say that signing up for a diet for the rest of my life is not the easy way. Starting a diet on monday and quitting it by Thursday is the easy way!!
  6. You might be gaining muscle
  7. I really enjoy cucumber "chips" and hummus
  8. I have regular coffee and use my vanilla premier protein drink just like it was creamer
  9. Thank you for the replies. I am 3 months post op lost 60 pounds and probably have 40-50 more to go.
  10. I know the skin doesnt pop back into shape but I was curious if there was a time frame that you did notice firming. Trying to determine time frames to get plastics done after I hit goal.
  11. I think it just takes much longer for your brain to adjust to the new you. Positive self talk (as silly as that sounds) will help too.
  12. Breath will get better after you start eating again.
  13. I agree. I was just like you at first. I had to start weighing once a week and writing it on my calendar. It always reads some kind of loss this way and I am happy. When I look back at the calendar it shows how far you have come. Its hard to appreciate the daily .3 loss but a weeks 4 pounds is nice
  14. I use the premier shake as a coffee creamer. I think its pretty good.
  15. Its only for 1st 3 months.
  16. I was told it was also to limit stomach acid to promote healing as well.
  17. Its buyers remorse. You both should change your mind once you are feeling normal again.
  18. I dumped once from the healthiest cracker I could find to spread a laughing cow on. I throw up at least every other day for some reason or another.
  19. I specifically asked this question and was told no. That it is now not as effective. ..wonder if I should ask again?? Lol
  20. I was about 4 weeks out and had a few brown rice crackers with laughing cow cheese on them. About 45 min later I felt just wrong and went to the bathroom. I started peeing out my but and I was making plans on where to vomit if I had to....the floor, bathtub, garbage. My body went numb and got super hot and clammy. It probably lasted about an hour.
  21. I felt pretty good after 1 week.
  22. I hope so! All your guys' support definately makes things better! I think I did have unrealistic expectations. You read how fast everyone loses.
  23. I too am 6 weeks post op. I have lost 36 pounds although 18 were preop. I lost the first 13 within the first 2 weeks and then it feels like I have lost nothing since then. Lol well ive lost 5 in 4 weeks. I have been following the plan closely. I am starting to feel defeated as well. Everyone keeps saying it will happen...I just hope I am not a failure.
  24. I had the same question for my nutritionist. ..she said to still wait to build habits and what not.
  25. I really didn't start feeling like I had energy until 3 weeks out and even then not much. Give yourself time.
