DSMCasey got a reaction from boccob81 in Any May 20th surgeries out there?
My wife and I both got done on the 28th of May and we're both down almost 100 lbs. I'm at 95 right now and I think she's at about 90lbs lost. She's been in onederland a while now. Neither of us are quite at goal weight yet, but still losing weight so we'll surely get there. I still track everything on myfitness pal.
We're both loving it and looking great. Lots more energy and save quite a bit of money on food
Only one negative, I have had a couple of people ask me if I am sick and thats why I've lost all the weight (cancer, etc). I look healthy, hell I even tan and look great. But just such a drastic weight change that I guess some people think its impossible. I do not share that I had surgery to most people.

DSMCasey got a reaction from cortonball in Loose skin?
I can speak from first hand experience that my wife's boobs were one of the first things to shrink. She went down a cup size at least. I don't notice when she changes her hair, but I noticed the boob size change immediately I don't worry about it too much, we were both sleeved on the same date and good news for her is that I'm losing my boobs too!

Heavyweight :360
CW: 304
Surgery Date 5/28/2014
No issues at all, super glad I did this. I can eat anything now, even a chocolate bar, however I choose to eat healthy 99% of the time. If I do eat a chocolate bar or something, I eat it in moderation and still hit all my calorie/protein goals for the day. I haven't had a soda since surgery and any sort of bread/pasta is tough on me.

DSMCasey got a reaction from teemarie1078 in Any May 20th surgeries out there?
I was done may 28th. I have no trouble eating anything except bread/pasta which gives me "stuck" feeling. I no longer crave anything that is really greasy which is a big change for me. I loved hamburgers and fried foods but thinking about them now makes my stomach uneasy. Hw 360 Cw 310
Edit: I eat 800-1000 calories per day. 80-100g of Protein. I also workout 5-6 days a week. Usually 350 cardio calories plus some strength training.

DSMCasey got a reaction from SwanRose in My Experience With Dr. Garcia & Ready 4 A Change In Tijuana
My wife and I had sleeve through Dr. Garcia. We are a month out now and have lost over 40lbs each (we did lose 10 pre-op though!). I loved the staff at Dr. Garcia's and would recommend it to anyone. The hospital isn't stunningly beautiful or brand new but it was clean and the staff to me was better than any staff I have seen at a hospital in the USA. The nurses were very attentive and a lot of them were very attractive to boot! My wife had a tough time with lots of vomiting on the night after surgery and the nurses were in her room non-stop helping her out and just being great overall. Also one of the doctors, the blonde that does the in house care, had sleeve done a year or more ago and looks amazing.
The Marriott was super nice and we actually went to the "Caliente" casino which is right behind the hotel. We got all the Soups and popsicles we needed from the hotel as well.
I went to Ready4Achange because someone on here recommended them and I don't regret it one bit. Dr. Garcia was great!

DSMCasey got a reaction from kltklass in Comments from my Canadian Dr have me wondering .... What would I do?
I met 3 canadian ladies who had all had sleeve done with Ready4Achange when I was in Tijuana. The hospital that Ready4Achange uses also has a cancer ward on the top two floors and I met several people from there as well and almost all of them I met were canadian as well.
If you have serious health issues already (heart problems, liver problems, some other internal malfunction, etc) and expect complications then you should probably stay in canada. However, neither me nor my wife had serious health issues other than being fat and having sleep apnea, nearly diabetic, and some bum joints/backs from being fat. So because of the relatively small list of issues with us, we decided to go ahead and have it in Mexico. We both are losing a ton of weight and we're happy as pigs in shit that we went to mexico. Saved us a ton of $$ and we got GREAT care.

3 months down and 60 lbs later. I feel like a whole new person. Life has never been so amazing. I seriously doubted my decision the first month. It was the hardest season of my life so far. But so so SO worth it. And I'm no where near where I need to be yet!!!

DSMCasey got a reaction from kltklass in TJ Options for under $4k (besides the obvious one!)
Kltklass,
Thank you for all the info. Its not so much about the money. But since there are two of us getting it done, we are hoping to keep it reasonable.
