    nauseous all the time

Almost 4 weeks post op and the Protein shakes make me extremely nauseated although I still try to get them down, or part of them. When I take my nausea meds the nausea lessens and I am able to get other protein down. Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are my this week's friends. Right now having "buyer's remorse" and wish I never had the bypass as I have no energy like I did before the bypass. Is it too soon to expect to feel better, I am down 42lbs but feel horrible. Need suggestions.
  2. I have been drinking Meal Replacement shakes for almost a month now, and I am getting to the point where the thought of drinking another makes me nauseous. I am only 2 weeks post-op and know I need the Protein.....any suggestions>>
  3. Prior to my bypass which was on 9/04/14 I was using a CPAP mask for several months and adjusted to it quite easily, and tolerated it for the entire night. However, after my bypass I cannot tolerate it at all. I have tried wearing it numerous times but wake up horribly nauseated. The nausea goes away when I turn the CPAP machine off. What is going on? My sleep apnea couldn't have disappeared this fast....or could it? Let me know if anyone else is having or had this issue.
  4. My surgery in for 9/4 and I am getting "cold feet." I am so worried about the pain afterwards and if I can deal with it, Once the procedure is done I will have to deal with it.....any encouraging words will be helpful. I also am having a hiatal hernia repair. Worried.

  7. I am at the Pre-Op Liver Reduction state and using BariatricFusion Meal Replacement which is not very good tasting and leaves you with an awful after taste. Does anyone know of a good tasting meal replacement. I also bought the Bariatric fusion chewable Vitamins and they upset my stomach...any other good suggestions for those too?

    Pre-op Liquid Diet Torture :'(

First day on Pre-Op diet and so nauseated from fusion Meal Replacement and Vitamins.....anyone else have this problem? I need to drink another shake now but don"t think I can get it down and keep it down....rather just skip it!! Suggestions????
  9. This is Day One of my pre-op diet and after one shake(Fusion) and chewing two Vitamins I am so sick to my stomach. I want to vomit. I need to drink another one but don't think I can get it down and keep it down. Maybe it's all the vitamins upsetting my stomach and I just need to get used to it...anyone else have the same experience? Wonder if I can switch to sugar-free Carnation Instant Breakast? Any suggestions are appreciated.
  10. Having bypass 9/4 and would love to have a buddy/mentor from Western New York (Buffalo area)

    10day post-op update

I am 63 and having a bypass in a month....was worried I was too old for this surgery but your post made me feel better.
  12. I am a 63 year old woman who is facing a gastric bypass on 9/2/14. I was originally going to have a gastrectomy, but my endoscopy showed a small area of Barratts esophagus, and so onto to Plan B. I currently weigh just under 300 lbs. The main reason I am having this done, well--besides being morbidly obese and having hypertension and sleep apnea is I need a knee replacement and there isn't a surgeon that would do it at my current weight. Hopefully, after weight loss I won't knee a replacement. I am wondering though if there are any other "older" indiduals who have had the gastric bypass and if they would share their experience with me?
