I'm pretty open about it. I'm not posting it on Facebook, but I will tell people if they ask. They way I see it, it's a measure of getting help. Can't see well? Get glasses. Can't hear well? Get a hearing aid. Can't lose weight? Get surgery.
I needed help, and I'm getting it. No need to be ashamed. I'd be more ashamed if I wasn't doing anything about it.

I haven't been a size 8 since middle school! It would be awesome if I got there again! What weight (approx) is a size 8?

I'm happy to report that everything went smoothly, my vitals are great, and my hospital stay has been phenomenal thanks to the wonderful nurses here! I am able to drink clear fluids and am feeling great...still sore, but no other complaints!
I'm looking forward to continuing a positive journey!

Anything with bubbles is carbonated. I need to also say goodbye to Champagne, Riesling, and Moscato. Sad sad day. LOL!

Hi all! Bucks County here! I'm almost 33 and another if 3 young kids. Surgery date is 7/23!!!

I think everyone gets nerves -- if you didn't it would be because you're not taking it seriously.
And, it's the fear of the unknown making it worse -- not knowing how you'll feel or look -- if you'll be very different. But, again, I think it's all normal. I think if you focus on why you're doing this, what your goals are and how you want to feel, it will help calm some nerves.

Hi! My date is scheduled for July 23rd!! I'm SOOO excited! Tons of emotions over here! I'm just shy of 33, 5'2", and 245 lbs with 3 children! I'm ready to take my life back and get healthy and fit for my kids and husband!

Hi everyone! I'm new here! I just got the call from my primary doctor that they sent my letter of recommendation to the surgeon! I'm just waiting for the psych eval to be send and then the surgeon's office can submit to my insurance.
I'm so excited! I can't wait to finally take control of my life and weight loss!!!
Does anyone have any pre/post-op tips or advice??
