Woooowee!!! 43 lbs in one month!! I'm so jealous!! I am one month post op and down 25 lbs, which I am so thankful for especially because I have made a lot of mistakes, but 43 would have been so great !! Lol

I was so damn thirsty and out of Water I had some soda when I was 1 week post op, and was totally fine!! I've had sips of sparkling water and sodas here and there and It goes down like wata! I think beer would be fine but might take you a while to get used to again because of the foam . Everyone is different so I wouldn't count on other peoples experiences to be your own. But In my experience it's been fine, I've had no nausea or vomiting or taste change since surgery and never had high blood pressure or acid reflux or diabetes. I guess take a look at your own stats and maybe you'll guess how your body will react, if not well your surgery is right round the corner so you'll know sooner than later lol Plus I always hear about people after surgery who trade one addiction for another and become alcoholics, well that makes me think that drinking is possible after the surgery. Just be careful, I have to tell you that for me right now at 3 weeks post op, your brain is going to hurt and not being able to eat is going to start to wear on you so I can see how it's easy to pick up drinking to cope. I'm 30 as well. Gooooood luck!!!

Ahhhh I can't believe it, I made it!! Tomorrow is my procedure!!!! I want to cry!! I am on a liquid diet today and yesterday. I am beating myself up because yesterday I ate bread! I was soooo hungry! Today has been better though. I hope my little cheat doesn't effect my surgery. Did anyone else slip up on their pre op diet? How was the pain when you wake up right after the procedure?

I'm sooooooo hungry!!! Today was the first day of my pre op liquid diet and I totally cheated, I ate some bread. Tomorrow is the second day and I'm only to have Clear liquids and then Monday morning is my surgery!! I hope I didn't cause myself any major problems, I'm just so hungry even though I'm drinking lots of Water and I had my liquid meals. All of my usual cravings are kicking my butt right now. Did anyone else slip on their pre surgery liquid diet? Did it cause any problems at surgery? Will I be starving like this after my surgery?

Wow you are getting close to your surgery date as well, congrats !!! They had me wait three months at the beginning so it's been about 7months since I started. I am nervous too but also excited! I think I might freak out right before surgery but I keep telling myself in no time I will be 7 months post op and my life will have changed for the better! I look forward to talking with you more as I transition from pre op to post op!

I've been hearing a lot about dr Grinberg! I have dr Yenumula. I haven't run into anyone else who has had him though

July 7th!!! Kaiser south sacramento

Just got my surgery date moved up from July 21 to July 7!! 7-7-14 baby!!!!! I can't believe I'm almost through post opp ahhhh!! Anyone else being sleeved in July from kaiser sacramento?? I picked Dr. Yenumula, he seems so nice!
