What food have you sworn off for good??
o0o .. sorry to hear about your tuna issue!! I live on tuna lol - have it every single day for lunch, so that would kill me :/ The only food I've completely sworn off is potato gnocchi. I love the stuff, but I had 2 lil balls of gnocchi after my first fill (which I didn't have any restriction with) and the damn things were stuck for what felt like days. Cried myself to sleep that first night it hurt so bad lol. Never again...

Proactive Band Removal?
Not me. I realize that stuff can go wrong and I do feel badly for those who have had problems with their bands. I know that it could be any one of us, but I'm happy to keep mine until my doctor tells me its dangerous to do so... I love my band!

Who's had a TT or Boobs done?
So I'm booked in to have my tummy tuck and breast reduction on April 3rd. Starting to get a bit nervous lol, but that's normal. Just wondering, from those of you who've had it done ... on a scale of 1 - 10, how bad was the pain?

Tummy Tucks
I've got my tummy tuck booked in for April 3rd. After 90 someodd pounds, I can really tell a difference in that area. When I was at my max weight, my stomach was tight. I bent over the other night to turn the Water at the bathtub on and felt a big swish of skin fall to the side LOL. Fingers crossed, I'll be at goal weight by then though .. if I'm lucky, perhaps even a kilo or two under it.

test results
Great preliminary news, Crystal!! Hopefully the anti anxiety medication will help as well, cause she's right, being stressed is just going to make things worse. Sending some more good vibes your direction.

PS Booked In :)
LOL I love that one!! Reckon its real though? I'd have to feel it to find out *shrugs* I thought about inviting my surgeon out to Chapel Street (the fashion district) and pointing to the ones I like lol... I read somewhere that there was a surgeon in Germany who had a wall of boobs. So ya go in, look/feel around, and pick the ones you want. Sounded like a great idea to me hehe.

PS Booked In :)
LOL .. semi .. enough to show what was done. Thanks everyone! I'm so very excited right now. I spent all evening yesterday surfing through breast reduction before and after pictures, trying to find a "set" I liked lol, to show the surgeon. I wish there was a catalogue or something I could choose from rofl. I can't wait to be able to go into any ole shop and pick out a bra and panty set that's cute and fits!!!

Trip to the GP .. anyone on Zoloft?
Thanks everyone!! Day 3 on Zoloft and the only side effects I've noticed so far are a fuzzy head at times (usually when I'm sitting quietly) and a bit of trouble slowing down my mind to fall asleep (reading a book helps). Here's hoping that it won't affect my libido, as since the hubby's been out of the country over a month, I'd really like to jump him when I pick him up from the airport on Monday LOL. My doctor said that most of the side effects will go away after a week or so...

PS Booked In :)
Just got a call from my plastic surgeon's office. He's agreed to do both the tummy tuck and breast reduction at the same time. He had previously said no, as it will be alot of pain/healing, but when I explained that a) my parents are visiting and will be able to help around the house and I'd rather get the pain over with in one go, he agreed to do it. So I go in on 10 March for my final consult with him, then the surgery is on 03 April. Already starting to get the jitters lol, as I did preband about not waking up from surgery .. but that's normal *shrugs* I'll make sure to take several full body shots before hand this time, so that I can do a proper before and after. I've still got 6.5kgs to go til goal, but surely I can do that before the surgery date. Now I just have to quit smoking. Anyone wanna join me? :bananapowerslide:

Have you lost your "Wild Thang" urges?
Hey Kel - I read in the other thread that you had looked at herbal stimulants and it made me remember a party I went to two years ago. Was talking to this girl and somehow the subject of sex came up. She was saying that she had completely lost her sex drive for like 6 months, then started taking Horny Goat Weed. She absolutely swears by the stuff. Its some chinese herbal formula and there's one for women too, evidentally. Might be worth a shot? I'm gonna pick some up this week, if the doctor says its okay... Good luck with it though!

I'm just a blubbering idiot!
Elisa, you're perfectly normal. I did the exact same thing. Still have the letter sitting in my husband's desk upstairs. By the time they wheeled me in for surgery, had my legs not been jelly, I would have gotten up and ran lol ... but today, I'm soooooooo thankful I didn't. You're going to be fine! We all get nervous before hand. If you weren't nervous, that would be cause to worry.

Trip to the GP .. anyone on Zoloft?
Thanks Ray - I'm sure I'll get there eventually 3loves, thanks heaps! Just knowing it has helped one other person gives me hope. I asked the doctor about the libido thing and she said that with some people, it makes them have trouble having an orgasm. I thought .. Oh, just what I need lol. I'm sure I'll find a way though *g* She also said that for the first 7 days, I may be irritable, but heck, I'm already irritable so that's no biggie.

Trip to the GP .. anyone on Zoloft?
So, as suggested by many on you guys and gals, as well as by my psychologist, I went off to see my GP today, to see if perhaps my hormones were out of whack, due to weight loss. I sat in the waiting room going over in my head what I was going to say to her, so I didn't trip over my words when I got in there. Walked in, she said I was looking fantastic, she was so proud, etc. Then she asked if I was feeling okay. Told her, physically I feel great. Then I said, "I've recently become a raving lunatic though... " and that was all I could get out before I burst into tears. LOL .. that is SO unlike me. So I sobbed and told her how moody and irritable I've been, how extremely jealous I've been, about the panic attacks, etc. And asked her if it could be my hormone levels. Now first let me say, that my doctor has never been pill happy. When I asked for diet pills, she said no, not until I saw a counselor (after which, I didn't want them anymore). When I want to quit smoking, she recommends hypnotherapy or something before medicine. If there's another way to fix issues without a pill, she's all for it. But this time she looked me straight in the eye and said, this isn't hormones. This is anxiety ... its a chemical imbalance, due to low seratonin (sp?). She said that from what I'd described the past few weeks to be like, it sounded like I was started into a vicious cycle and that if I didn't nip it in the bud, it'd turn into depression on top of anxiety, so she wants me on medication straight away. She's prescribed Zoloft and said it should have me feeling like myself again in around 2 weeks. She knows that there's a history in my family of depression and anxiety, so said it could possibly genetic. But also said that she would try to ween me off of the Zoloft in 6 months time and see how we go. I'm not too keen on medication, but at this point, if it makes me get through the day without the nauseous feeling, bursting into tears periodically throughout the day and having my mind go off on tangents of their own, I'm willing to try it. Is anyone else here on Zoloft and if so, has it helped for you? Also, if this isn't too personal, has it effected your libido in any way?

Have you lost your "Wild Thang" urges?
Thanks so much for posting this, Kel!! I too have lost the urge lately, but been a bit embarassed to admit it, especially since I saw everyone talking about how much better their sex lives are since losing lol. I'm hoping that for me, its just hormones due to weight loss. I have that appointment with the GP today and that's one of the things on my list to talk with her about. Hopefully she can have me fixed up good as new before my hubby gets home on Monday morning, cause as much as I want to jump him, I know I'll not feel like it lol.

Calling tattoed bandsters!
I got one on my right breast when I was 18 and stupid lol. I got pregnant, they grew. The single lines turned into double and triple lines. Then I gained weight and more of the same happened. Now, its a big ole saggy blob. I've asked the surgeon if he can remove it when he does my breast reduction. Here's hoping! I also have a tribal on my right arm and one on my lower back (which I love!!). I'll post pics just as soon as I can get some taken.

New coping strategies
The past few days, I've been meditating when this happens, to a good cd I have. Its helped. When its negative thoughts that are bothering me, I've taken to jotting them down, along with the time it occurred and what I perceive to have brought them on. Then if they go away, I go back and jot down what I did to make them go away. Music helps me as well, as far as getting my mind off things. I pick my favs and turn it up REAL loud. Good luck Crystal.. and I'm sending some more extra happy thoughts your way.
