Yes! So true!!! When DH and I started dating his ex butted in and asked his mom about our sleeping arrangements when we visited his parents. That threw up red flags, but ever since then she's been okay. We're not buddies, but we have gone over to her house and helped his DD hang shelves, and at his DD's parties we all help clean and get stuff ready. She's odd in that she has never dated anyone since. He was her first, only and last and I just wish she'd move on so that little bit of weirdness can fade. It's been 13 years since their divorce...get a date already!

I think I'd send a note saying, "Thanks, but next time can you buy us a matching set of undies? We want to wear them when we sit around talking about how WEIRD you are." Sign me up for, oh, a MILLION. Morning all!

I was sobbing like a baby! :sad: So far my fave is Abby because of her attitude. She is obviously still suffering, though, and I'm not sure she doesn't need other type of help. Maybe this will be good for her, but I'm hoping it doesn't break her. I'd crack like a nut if that happened to my family. My heart really aches for her.... I still love Dan, though, too!

yeah!!! I've been busy all day...I love it! Got a quick break and it's back to Imports. I really do like being busy...but I miss my pjtp/fb time! LOL Happy almost over Monday!

Okay, Brandy pulled me back into the 5k. I never get past week 3 and then quit! Maybe I need to do what someone suggested and after 3 weeks do every other day. I understand 100% about the 3x per week being too long between running days, and losing that motivation. After I quit and restart, I jump in at week 3, but I think I need to take it back to the beginning... Ya'll mind if I pop in here again? :blushing:

I was going to cave and get cheese/crackers from vending machine then got milk instead. I want to at least get one day accomplished! Good point! I'd never have thought of that!!!

Morning all! I'm sipping my coffee: Mystery Brew-literally since our pots at work are labeled. Dark Roast, Cafe Special and Mystery Brew. Generally MB is a mix of the others so that new pots can be made. I take my chances. All good! Tried 5 day pouch test and failed last night. Tortillas and queso got the better of me. Day One - Take Two.

Oh, I love all the fried sweet stuff. But, butter...??!!?? How do they do that? Didn't try choc bacon - but wanted to. The twinkie and oreos were good. (I hate twinkies normally, but liked it fried.) Didn't like fried Snickers, though. 1/2 my mouth is full of sweet teeth, the other side likes the salty munchies. One of favorite snacks is chocolate covered potato chips.

Ha! Very funny!!!! Don't know why you'd think that. Um....what year? I'm not good w/the newer cars. Daggone 'puters and stuff. I'm an upstanding citizen at this point in my life, but if there were a nuclear event and people had to live wild - I'd be okay. I learned all I need to know from Red Dawn. Get me to the mountains, give me access to a hunting supply store, and some big puffy down coats, and feathered hair - I'd be good to go.

Oh, I agree that they (our upper-ups at the oil tool company) aren't trying to drive it to the ground...but they definitely buffer the fall for themselves, while cutting out folks that do work hard. It may not have been that way with your dad, or the examples you mentioned, but we'd be #1 in our field, not #3, if the actually President of our company had oil tool experience. It's a joke in our warehouse that he couldn't pick out a liner hanger from a ball bearing. And, it's true...he's said in town hall mtgs that he has no idea how we run the plant. Our new head of world wide logistics (my new boss) knows how to ship, but nothing about our company. In the meetings to discuss our divisional happenings, someone asked about two plants unmentioned in the merge and he said, "Well, they're not a concern b/c they don't ship internationally." Um, yeah, they DO actually.... So, some may know how to do it right, but sometimes it comes down to playing golf with the right people. ...okay...lol - off my soap box now. I'm stuffed with homemade Indian food and naan... yummy! Came home from friend's house and DH had put up the new light I bought for the dining room! I am so happy because I really didn't want to do it, but it was my project so I was prepared to suck it up. Love that man!!! Tomorrow - nothing!!! I'm so excited to do nothing, you have no idea!!!

That reminds me DD wanted to make her signature. She saw me scribble stuff on papers and wanted her own. I swear, every piece of paper we owned had her name written all over it. She wanted to get it right. I came up with my scribble when I had to sign for stuff all day...I used to try and make it nice like DD, but after a gazillion times, it got to the point where the delivery person would say, "Um, how do you say that?" lol Hecks yeah! I'd take the course for 2 becuase I can't do that! I have no negotiation skills whatsoever. Oh, and sign me up for 3 & 4. NERD!!! HA! DH and I are wondering about the company we work for now. They make all the decisions and choices and "us peons" wonder WTF? I have moving boxes that we never used... Just sayin - I'll be there in a heartbeat to move her sorry butt to the North Pole!

That really pisses me off...I'm so sorry you're going through that!!! Sad faces? Really? What are they learning in Kindergarten...Russian Politics or something??? I mean, crap... A sad face? That's disgusting to me. Poor kid - there are other ways to get kids to calm down and get them to pay attention. I got kicked out of Kindgergarten. I hated naps and was like, "Hey - the other kids are asleep now I can play with whatever." Not so...the teachers didn't like that so much...so they sent me home one day w/a note to my mom and I remember I never went back. I showed that to DD - she thought assigned seats in her cafe were bad! ha! It's kinda weird what they're doing in schools these days...it's like a step BACK in time, when we really need a huge leap forward!!!

That's the stuff that wears me arse out most!
