  1. I don't know. All of a sudden I can eat a lot more than I could a few weeks ago. It's not good. I can feel my pants getting tighter. Now I need to more consciously think about how much I'm eating and stop before I'm feeling uncomfortable. I'm almost a year out and have had no problems until now, but I've been hovering at this weight for a few months...and I'm not to my goal yet, so I'm getting a little nervous.

    Anyone not tell family?

Only my husband knows. He is the only one I plan to have know. I do not plan to tell anyone else...ever.
  3. I'm only 3 weeks out, but the only person who knows is my husband. And he is the only person I plan on having know. I do not plan to tell anyone else (unless it is medically necessary). I'm not telling my friends, family, or coworkers. It's my business, and no one needs to know. I will field and deflect the questions as they come without revealing that I had the surgery. I'm counting calories ("Yeah, there's this great app called MyFitnessPal that helps me track everything - you should try it! So, how have you been...how's your mother/kid/job/etc.?"), working out every day, eating smaller portions, drinking more water, and making better food choices. That's all they'll ever need to know. If they ask me point-blank, I'm prepared to lie. I know a lot of people have issue with that, but I don't. Sorry to be so blunt, but it's my choice, my journey, and my life. Just my two cents...

eating first 2 weeks post op

I'm now 6 days PO and I have a bottle of isopure, one and a half Premier Protein shakes (Doctor approved I could have these even though it's my clear liquid stage), 32oz of water, and some chicken broth. Between the isopure and the protein shakes, I get at least 85 or so grams per day of the protein, so it works out. If someone mixes protein powder into soups and such - what kind do you use? Brand? I need to find something. Thanks!

No bowel movement in 9 days!

I mixed some Benefiber into my Isopure and chicken broth and it got things moving the very next day. But I agree, you should check with your surgeon. Good Luck!
