  1. I was banded in December of 2005. I had many boughts of vomitting. Finally in August, 2007, I could not even keep liquids down, I had my band deflated and it was discovered that my band had slipped. I decided on removal because of the risk of future complications and the fact that I will no longer be insured for bariatric coverage. I am about ten days into my "post-band" life and it is nice to eat and keep the food down.
