  1. I've been off coffee (and caffeine in general) since about a week before my surgery. But now I'm going back to work. I start work at 430AM. I never really got a clear understanding of the role of coffee and other types of caffeine post-Sleeve. Any thoughts?
  2. I have tried that, and it does help, thanks.
  3. Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm inspired to try new ideas.
  4. I am so tired of sweet protein drinks! Does anyone know of any protein shakes or drinks that have a savory flavor? Why are they all so sweet?
  5. Thank you ALL for your feed back. It's soooo nice to know I'm not in this alone!
  6. I have found My Fitness Pal to be an invaluable tool. The phone app is a bit different from the Internet version. I found that I am able to personalize my needs more on the internet version.
  7. Other: My sister and I go out a lot: We started sharing something like an omelet. She gets half plus the bread and potatoes. On Easter Sunday, my family went out. I shared with my grand daughter. I do hate wasting money on a whole meal. My eating out bills are much, much lower now.
  8. This is a great article. I've been having a terrible time getting my liquids in. The article gives great information.
  9. The first couple of weeks I was not hungry at all....I loved it! Now I do find that I am a lot hungrier. I think about food more. One day at a time.
  10. My biggest fear is that I am going to stretch out my stomach. I don't want to go back to my old way of eating. I don't miss any specific food. I miss eating big meals.
  11. I thought the hardest thing was going to be giving up coffee. Surprisingly, I don't miss it, so far. What I miss is having a big, satisfying meal. I'm still going through mental withdrawal.
  12. I'm thinking that people will probably assume that I'm lying if I make something up. I guess people are going to talk about you no matter what. I'm working on NOT Caring what others say.
  13. OMG..I thought I was the only invisible over-weight (fat) person. When ever I walk around with my sister (and best friend), everyone makes eye contact with her and ignores me. It always makes me feel so ugly. Even worse...people always think I'm my sister's mother! She's only 4 years younger than me. This is one of my driving forces for my weight loss. I want people to think I'm the younger sister!
  14. I'll be going back to work next week, 8 weeks post-op. I've lost almost 60 lbs (25 pre op). I know my co-workers are going to be asking questions. It's none of their business. I'm not sure what to say to their inquiries. Any advice?
  15. I've been losing my hair. (Not my gray's though-they're doing fine!)
  16. That's so interesting! I've been waking up around 3 every morning too, feeling very hungry. A few times I got up and had some fruit, which helped.
  17. The same thing happened to me! I'm kind of glad...won't be tempted again, very soon!
  18. Regarding the Isopure: All the ones I tasted had a weird after-taste: Except the Apple Melon. It is really good. Not as sweet as most. They are expensive, but if you don't like the thick shakes, I'd try it.
  19. Have your tried the Isopure clear protein drinks? I really like the Apple Melon flavor.
  20. I was wondering how profiles change from 'Newbie'.
  21. (Yes, I'm a newbie!) I am almost 8 weeks post op. I lost about 25lbs pre op, and am now down 57lbs. (Starting at 299.) I'm just curious about other newbies' early weight loss stories.
  22. I do fine all day, then in the evening, when I'm relaxing, I get the munchies. My solution (so far) is that I save a few calories for the end of the day. And have a heathy, pre-planned snack.
  23. My drain was taken out the day after my surgery. Right before I was discharged.
  24. I'm also obsessed with the scale. If I wake up at 4AM to use the restroom, I take off my PJ's and weigh.
