Late October here (hopefully)!
-
Yeah, I know...just difficult. I've struggled for sooo long to lose weight, but it never happened...
-
I'm sorry to hear you are going through such an ordeal I hope they approve soon!!!

I'm going to buy one right around the time I have my surgery in late October, It will definitely be a nice tool to have after the surgery to track my progress.
-
I understand the feeling. I was supposed to have surgery 8/14 and now not until 10/23. I feel sad as my original date creeps closer and will pass me by...but October will get here. Right?
Oh no! Why did they reschedule like that??
Well I'm still pre-op by more than a month and I don't know how to pass the time. I obsess about the surgery and come on here and see what everyone else is talking about. Sorry, i'm no help.
It's okay haha, we can obsess together lol
I understand completely! I'm scheduled for October 14th. I can't wait!!!!!
It just seems so far away

I'm about 2 1/2 months to surgery and I am going absolutely crazy! I am so impatient and all I can think about is getting the surgery so I can feel better and start my journey. What did you do to pass the time so that it goes faster? lol
-
I'm new too! I have my first dr visit on August 25th. My insurance requires 6 months of dieting and weight tracing. I started that in May. Would love to have surgery end of Oct or first of Nov. I'm in Georgia.
Looks like we'll be having surgery around the same time I'm in Arizona
-
I'm not going to just tell everyone, but I'm also not going to hide it either. It's really none of their business, unless I make it their business..which is not likely haha
-
Yay! It will be here before ya know it
-
Thanks for posting this, I had also been debating on which surgery to have for the past few days

It is nice here. Tho to be honest I haven't really made to many new friends. I've had a couple surgeries since I've been here so I haven't found a job that is nearby that doesn't require standing for long periods(2 knee replacement and arthritis in the back. I have eyesight problems as well so I'm limited to how far I can drive. But I love our little town. It's so cute. Lol
Awesome, I see they're adding a nice outlet mall there.
My parents and family still live there.
As for body issues, I feel ya

Also are you from Kentucky?

Today I am just so emotional! Everything is making me want to cry. Been having some money issues and I am having such a hard time waiting for my surgery. I want everything to be done now so I can start feeling better! 3 more months to go...woo.
Sorry for venting, I'm just having a bad day.

I've only got 3 more months (3 visits) and just need to find the time to go get my psych eval. It's really hard finding time to do it. They said it's like 2 hours long...that's not so easy with an 11 month old boy, a husband and a full time job. lol

Hi there! I'm about halfway through to getting my surgery so we can wait together! I'm nervous of course, but I'm also impatient lol Feel free to message me if you need to talk or anything
-
When are you having your surgery or had? lol
-
Just read a lot here and other places so you are as educated as you can be for this journey. It blows me away to hear from people who are shocked when certain things happen....you must be informed! This is a new journey and being informed is half the battle. What a gift you are giving yourselves and your child. Beautiful!
I'm trying to do as much research as I can, I want to be well prepared
I am at my halfway point too. I'm going to have my surgery in the middle of October. I would like a surgery buddy if your up to it :-)
That sounds great! Where are ya from, feel free to send me a message anytime
@@April206 thanks! I love me some Bon Jovi <3

Hello, I'm Robin. I'm 26 (almost 27) years old and I'm halfway through my journey to Gastric Bypass
July 17th was my official halfway point for the 6 month supervised diet with my PCP.
My husband, Denny is right behind me by a month so he'll be having his soon too
I'm extremely nervous though, I've never had a major surgery (or any surgery for that matter) before.
I just have to keep remembering that I'm doing this for my son. He'll be a year old in August (same day as me, yay same birthday )
Any tips? I've been trying to lose a little weight for the supervised diet, but I haven't lost anything...I've actually gained

If everything goes well, I'll be having surgery late October/early November. Just hit my halfway point on July 17th. The wait is killing me!
