So yesterday, my family and I went to beach. I put on my swimsuit then a nice sundress cover up. I had no intentions of taking the dress off. However, when I put my swim suit on I glanced in the mirror and thought I saw a reflection that just didn't seem to be me. She was attractive, young, and vibrant. That was an image that I had not seen for a while staring back at me.
Fast forward to the beach. We were taking pictures of the kids as they enjoyed their afternoon. Something came over me. I took off my sundress, jumped up and asked my friend to take a picture of me. I was so nervous as to what I was going to see. You see, often times when I look in the mirror and see one thing, when i see a picture of myself, I see something quite different. But this time, when I saw the pictures. I was amazed. The person I saw staring back at me in the mirror, was the same person in the picture. The young, beautiful, vibrant me. Maybe she is not what society defines as young beautiful and vibrant but screw you society. I love me and that's all that counts.
Here's to 83 pounds in 6 months and 40 more to go!

Was sleeved 3-25 this year and I am feeling good. Down 46 pounds since surgery date. No regrets...

So I started an online Vlog about my journey on YouTube. Right now I have 3 videos up and I am going to continue updating through my progress. Right now I am on the Pre-op diet and my surgery is June 9th. Let me know if you would all like me to continue. ???? here is the link to my first video.

I had mine done April 30 and as of today I am down 53 lbs!!! I did lose 12 of that with my preop diet. The hardest thing for me is getting my Protein in but I'm getting there!

Thank u! Glad u r doing well too! Back to work today feeling great just a little tired. I usually get 40/50 oz of water a day too. Same with me on Protein Shakes too. Congrats to u too. We will have to keep in touch since we r only a day apart with our surgeries!

Hi I'm doing really well today is 10 post op I've been back to work for 3 days now and feel great!! I'm getting in 4 protien shakes and 50 oz Water. I have my post op appt may 15, 2014 so we shall see how much I've lost! Good luck and God Bless!!

Hi I'm glad to hear your doing well!! I'm 10 days post op and feel great too! I've been back to work 3 days know and to my surprise feel good! I'm only able to get 50 oz of Water daily and 4 protien shakes daily (4 oz). I've lost 11 lbs pre op and feel inches lost I haven't weighed myself I will wait until my post op May 15, 2014.
I sip sip all day even protien I will sip 2 oz of protien (because I have to have it so cold seems easier to go down) then put back in fridge then 30 later again. ( i have fridge in office too)

I am 9 days post op today feel great and going back to work today. ? I am having trouble getting all my Protein in. I can still only drink 4oz of my Protein Shake and I am so full. I guess this is normal I hope! 50grams has been the max for me and my surgeon wants me to get in 60-70grams a day. Any suggestions? Super excited I lost 20 lbs before surgery & since surgery 15 lbs.

Hi I'm 7 days post op and feel great! I've been out and about the last two days and ready for work! I do get tired but I feel good! It does hurt when I swallow especially at the beginning but as each day passes it has almost gone away. Each day does get better trust me. Just take it one day at a time and trust in God he will take care of you!

I alive! Ha everything went really well. I was in room by 11:30. Just a tiny bit if ass under rib cage. No pain!! Guess I had a hiatal hernia?

Hello! I was out of surgery by 11:15 May 1 st and did great!! I am shocked it's over and I now have my tool to become healthy and thin!
Sore and moving a tad slow but overall, I'm excited!

I will be 5 months on May 11th, so far to my face I have only had one person say that to me, it took everything I had not to punch her in the face,.. she is stupid & ignorant because she made a stupid uneducated comment like we all have done in our life...
Look I know this isn't the easy way out and really don't care what anyone else says... I didn't do it for them, I did it for me, and that is the only opinion that I care about anymore (well and my husbands LOL)
All of us "sleevers" know what we have had to go through to get here, WE ALL KNOW this wasn't the easy way - it was the only way... this is what WE had to do to get healthy. And if our family/friends/coworkers don't understand it, that fine - they don't have to cause its not their life... we all have had to deal with the negativity of being over weight... now we are being judged for trying to get healthy - people are just so ignorant... I am down ALMOST 75 lbs... I couldn't be happier!! I am fitting into clothes that haven't fit in 10 years... easy or not... NO ONE can take that away from me... Cause I wont let anyone have that power over me ever again - I wish you all the happiness in the world with your new tummy!!! your sleeve family will be here judgment free! (because we all took the easy way HAHHAHA!!!)

Hi I had my sleeve on Monday and feeling good! It's just hard to get 64 oz in plus protien I did 3 protien yesturday and 50oz I'm pushing more today because I start to feel dizzy but once I drink it goes away. Did you all wait until ur 2 week post op appointment to start Vitamins?

almost a year out here too... May 17th will make a year... a great year. Highest weight:344, Surgery weight:317 and current weight:230.... Its been a great journey so far... the way i sum it up is this... "Everything is different once you challenge yourself and win." On May 17th, my surgiversary I will be running in the Brooklyn Half marathon... I have done things this year that i would have never imagined. I RUN NY!!! lol... I run 4-5 miles 4-5 and sometimes 6 days a week... this journey showed me that Im Possible... and nothing is impossible.. But you have to want it... As much as i would like to be at 217 to have 100lb loss by my one year mrk from the date of surgery. I am not attached to it.... I am off all med, no hbp, no diabetes, no cholesterol... NOthing... Im winning.... and i will reach my ultimate goal of 199... when i do.... no rush.. just keep eating right... keep excersizing

S I got dressed in my size 14 skinny jeans this morning I thanked God. One year ago today I got my sleeve. I went from 310 lbs down to 175. Size 24-26 to a14-12. My big thrill has been being off all my type II meds since Jan. I had my come to Jesus monument and did not want to die over something I had some control over. I work overnight and I am a single mother of 3 boys one with sever autism. I can't die now! I am also a RN some I have no excuse to say "I don't know?" I feel so much better. Thank you guys here your support. Without you all I may not have been able to make it. For those who have not done it, do if you think this tool will help. It is a tool and you need to change your relationship with food. It's my friend now but not my love!
