Ok Alicia, I hope this helps you. Don't starve or dehydrate yourself. As long as you are eating the right foods then your body will do the rest. Hopefully your doctor gave you some sort of plan for what is healthy and high in Protein to eat and what to stay away from. Dont make yourself sick with worry. I am almost 6 months post and eat just about anything. Its a new thing so you will have to experiment to see what your body can tolerate. I know you are still a newbie but EAT. Just stick to foods high in protein, low in fat and sugar. No fried foods!! Veggies are great if u tolerate them but make sure ur Proteins come first. Minimum of 60g and 64oz of Water. I drink a bottle first thing in the morning, between meals and one before bed. I have been doing 80-100g per day since about day 6 and i worked up to now drinking 6 or more bottles a day of water. I am now down 104lbs and im doing great so dont be afraid to eat. Just monitor it so its healthy. Your body will let u know when yohve eaten enough, trust me. Good luck to you and I hope you get through this ok.

@@Bigmommatojacob You should only fear failure if you already plan to quit.

I wouldn't eat noodles yet. You can have pastina, cottage cheese, creamed spinach, cream Soups, grits, protein shakes, apple sauce. Refried Beans, cream of wheat. I mixed the creamed spinach with the scrambled eggs. I also baked a lot of potatoes to make mashed potatoes. I just started phase 3 where they introduce like chicken and tuna salad. I made meatballs in my oven during this phase. I also got a nice piece of Cod and baked it in my oven. I added cheese to my refined beans this stage too. I hope I helped some

So I'm a week and one day post op and have been doing my homework on what foods to have on the soft food phase, and then when I can resume eating regularly, and I've found some wonderful stuff, but for some reason I am terrified of failure. I'm scared I won't eat the right thing, or eat too much of the wrong thing thinking it's good when it's really not. I haven't been able to eat normal food in almost a month due to pre op requirements, so when I'm able to eat, I'm going to have to make myself not go crazy. I guess with this full liquid phase, I'll feel full when I eat / drink for right around two hours and then I'm hungry again, I guess I'm scared that will be the case once I start eating regular food and I'll start, what I call "grazing" again, and then this surgery would've been for nothing. Am I overthinking this? Is it normal to be this fearful only a week post op??
