    Abusive Relationship

I would put yourself first! I feel he could be afraid that with this procedure you will find your true self and notice the world is really a bigger place than what he has created for you. I would seperate myself far from the negative and find support within your community. I am on your side and hope this does not continue. No one should have to live with someone so negitive. I also feel "in most cases" people direct anger toward others due to a lack of self confidence and insecurity. The world drags them down so they want to drag the world down. You cannot change someone who does not want to be changed. Life is way to short and you need to live it! So either he respects you and is your partner or he does not support you and you support yourself. This is my feeling however I do not know your true story nor what lead you to this forum.

Dilemma-Doctor refused to give a fill

I would not give into your hunger. In your mind you know what the right thing to do is. I would set a goal for yourself and follow through with it. If you need some help with setting this goal try this link for some ideas of creating goals. Goal setting worksheets It helps if you write your goals down. Do not give in to your hunger no matter what. This would defeat the whole purpose for being banded.

    Shopping cart goes high-tech

LONDON (Reuters) - Supermarket shoppers may soon be cruising the aisles with "intelligent" shopping carts that warn them if they're buying too much junk food, technology experts say. While many would be happy enough if they could simply get their trolley to go in a straight line, the high-tech model will be fitted with a computer screen and barcode scanner. It will read each product's individual code to give customers information about calories, nutrition, ethical sourcing and the environment. U.S. technology services company EDS outlined the concept in a study paper published this week. It said the screens would reduce the need for lots of packaging for food, helping stores to tackle environmental concerns. "Shoppers want barcode readers on their trolleys (shopping carts) to calculate the nutritional content and tell them when they have blown their calorific budget," said EDS's Sion Roberts, director of consumer industries and retail. "It's high-time that the humble barcode is recognized as a practical and cost-effective solution to consumers' thirst for information." Research carried out by food industry body IGD on behalf of EDS found that a third of shoppers want barcode scanners fitted to their carts. Most prefer to get information from labels on the food, according to the survey of nearly 1,000 people. Some shoppers are already using advanced carts. Trials of touch-screen computers on shopping carts have been trialed in stores in the U.S. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This would help many. I hope it comes soon.
  12. This information was something I found while looking to help someone else in the forum. I googled and after digging through miles and miles of non-helpful information this is what I found to be close to what I wanted to post. I understand the swallowing pills is difficult for someone banded and I have something with many of the ingredients listed in the post in a Gel form... it tastes like a flintsone Vitamin. The product is called MIN and is listed here http://www.ageluniverse.net/gelmedia/auimages/supp_min.pdf I do not want to promote this product onto those who seek other ways to get Supplements .. So I list things that are equal to what is needed to maintain nutrition for hair retention. My former spouse went through 2 lapbands and finally gastric bypass when the bands did not work. I know how body chemistry can really hurt a persons apperance as I have seen her hair fall out and the skin color turn pale. I am greatful to help everyone here and to find answers for as many as I can. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday.
