  1. Hi LidiBell, I have been doing cream of crab soup with mash potatoes, cream of chicken with real chicken pureed along with cream of chedder brocolli Soup. I have been getting creative with the cream Soups and adding real chicken or beef. You can dress this stuff up! What have you been doing? Mike
  2. I am seven days post op today and I too am having a difficult time getting the fluids in. The interesting thing is my doctor told me that any Fluid including Protein drinks are considered fluid. I drink about 60 oz a day; however the protein is the hardest for me. Today I was able to start eating pureed foods so that has helped. Actually I started feeling human today. Anyone else start feeling better once they could go on the pureed diet? While I am not hungry I just know I have to eat a few times a day in order to ensure I am getting enough in me. Remember those of you who feel you made a mistake it is too early to say that. We are all so early out that we cannot make that assumption yet. We can do this! Mike

    Any April Sleevers?

Hi All, Just an update: Today was the first time in six days that I visited the restroom for a BM. Interestingly enough I found that the night I didn't take any pain meds the following day I was able to go. Any one else having the same problems? I am still sore and am having a tough time sleeping. Tomorrow is my first Post Op appointment with my primary care doctor. Looking forward to seeing what he has to say. I am tried of eating yogurt and Protein shakes already. There has to be another way to get Protein in. I have tried the Isopure but that just tastes like chemicals. Even have gone as far as to add Protein powder to milk and yogurt. It is just an on going battle to get the protein in. I now just think of it as medication that I have to take. Each day I am getting in at least 30 minutes of continuous walking in but I am easily tired. Looking forward to hearing about everyone's experiences. Mike
  4. I was sleeved on April 9, 2014 and stayed in the hospital for two days because I felt terrible. Home for the first night and trying to get in enough Fluid. Anyone having this problem as well?

    Any April Sleevers?

Hi All, I had my Gastric Sleeve on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. What a ride it has been the past two days. My hospital stay was only two nights and I have to say the pain was ok the first day out of surgery; however, the second day was terrible. I was in tears almost the entire day. Have any of you had bad pain the second day? I am now almost 72 hours post opp and I am starting to feel better. At this point I am still taking the pain meds and tonight is the first night at home. For now I am going to sleep in my recliner hoping to get some more rest then I did in the hospital. Any of you from Maryland? I'd love to connect with people near me. Mike
