  1. That is exactly what I do. I weigh myself numerous times a day and do measurements and depending how it comes out sets my mood. I really need to have my husband hide it. Sounds pathetic but I obviously have problems with self control. I know I just need to focus on how I feel and not the numbers. I'm just so scared of failing.
  2. Easier said than done Maggie0210. Thanks for the nice comment. I really am hard on myself. I just worry its gonna be like before. Start a diet, lose some weight, slack off and end up back at the weight and then some. It's hard for me.because I have no idea how I'm doing. I compare myself to people on here and feel like I'm not losing like I should.
  3. Well I would love to but the old one is not digital and the new one is digital and precise. Who can argue with it. Guess it makes sense now why I always weighed more at the doctors. All I want is to get under 200!!! Now I'm further away and am frustrated
  4. Ordered a new precise scale. Tried it out and showed me 7 pounds higher than my normal scale. Man I thought I was a slow loser before and now I'm even more frustrated and sad. I feel like I've been stalled forever and now I actually weigh more than what I thought. Feeling like a failure
  5. I get so sick of feeling yucky all the time. Lately it seems I have this emptiness in my stomach and sometimes eating or drinking doesn't help. My stomach always feels off and makes lots of noise. That's gonna be embarrassing at meetings and a training. It's all the time gurgling and feeling terrible. Nothing seems to relieve it. I spoke to the docs office about me throwing up and then having this terrible feeling in my stomach all the time. I was not very comforted to hear that this is normal and for some it goes away and for others it has just become apart of life. Uggghh maybe if I wasn't stalled for the last 3 weeks I'd see it as worth it but as of now...I'm seeming to be having a hard time not regretting this surgery. I don't think my body is happy.
  6. I feel like everything gets stuck and needs to come back up. I'm not eating anything I shouldn't be will try to take it slower.
  7. No matter what I eat or how good I chew I am throwing up at least once a day. I'm almost three months out and have tried to slow it down. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I should be concerned with a stricture. I have no problem drinking but am so sick of getting sick. I'm scared I'm going to choke.
  8. I'm having trouble as well. Sometimes I'm not sure how I'm doing. It's been almost 11 weeks since surgery and I'm down 40 pounds. To be honest I thought I would lose more. I do have trouble eating and more trouble getting my protein in. I wonder if I'm doing ok or if it's time to revamp things. It's so hard to not compare. I am happy to be losing at all but seems to get stuck a lot
  9. I had gastric bypass 9/2
  10. I started having a pain like a really bad stomach ache that is in my upper middle and upper right abdomen. It began this afternoon. It was hours after ate. It is still very persistent - has not let up but also has not improved any. No nausea or diarrhea. Any ideas? I'm debating how long I should let it go on before I call my doc.
  11. How often do u typical urinate through the day? since surgery and going back to work I maybe urinate twice a day. I drink (Maybe not as much as I should). I have a hard time having to time food and drinking. I usually always feel thirsty and will most always pick drinking over wanting to eat. Just debating if this is something I should make my doc aware of.
  12. I agree Larly109. Mine seems very tempermental. Seems like My good pouch days are becoming far and few between
  13. I am five weeks out and have been experiencing pains on my lower right and left side. I have stopped eating the past couple days and am still having problems. Any ideas what this could be?
  14. I had my surgery on 9/2 and feel the same way!
  15. I'm 4 weeks out and seem to be dropping weight quickly. I def don't meet my protein goals. It's been hard for me to fit in eating and drinking. I always feel thirsty and usually pick that over eating. It's hard to schedule everything all the time. I have to be better at it because I def feel sore and achy and don't want it getting worse. I wish there was high dose protein pills lol
  16. Has anyone experienced body aches while losing weight?
  17. Jeeze I'm almost 4 weeks out and have only lost 16 pounds. U guys r doing awesome
  18. It seems every time I eat...I'm getting sick with stomach pains. What gives? It's making me scared to eat anything...even just a few bites
  19. Wow I wish I knew about this. I would have def wanted one
  20. I've been so sick since last night. made a pure protein shake with half water half lactaid milk. Last night I had terrible stomach pains and haven't been able to get away from the bathroom for long. Tmi. My stomach is gurgling and just is really upset. Wow I hope I don't have to call my docs. Hoping tomorrow I will feel better. Ugghh this is no fun
  21. Sorry to hear that. Be careful..it's important to stay hydrated..even if u just get in tiny sips. I totally know what u mean...I basically have to force myself to eat...no because I'm hungry but because that's what I'm supposed to do. I tried boos glucose control shakes. I look those because they come in ready made bottles and there not think and gross like other shakes but more like a regular drink but fills u up.
  22. Bring it on...I think ur doing pretty good with everything. I'm a little over 2 weeks out and I still don't hit my protein. It's been a process...some days I feel great, others not so much. I think our bodies are still in shock and what we are experiencing is common.
  23. Last night while doing the dishes I got chest pain. I tried to brush it off but eventually had to sit down which made it better. Then the pain seemed to move down to my upper middle left side and would only get better when sitting. It eventually stopped but now every time I take a sip I get pain. I've never had this problem before. I'm exactly two weeks out and am afraid something is wrong.
