    soda

But not alot of calories if you drink diet soda. But the band is around the outside of the stomach, so how can soda effect the band?? Maybe the carbination bloats the stomach- keeping the pouch stretched??

    soda

Does anyone know why we cannot drink soda? I was told to stop drinking soda months before my lap band...??:think

Sherry, I will try to stop by and see you prior to your surgery- I am having my preop at 8am- you might be in the OR by that time. If I don't get to see you, I will say a little prayer for you that all goes well. bandayed- thanks for all the info on how your band went. I need to ask: what kind of Protein drinks did you do- Sherry, what have you tried- I like carnation instant Breakfast, but i don't want to do so many calories in one day..... BI is the best!!! (I work there) juju

Hi all MA people... I will be banded 2/20/06 at Beth Israel Hosp in Boston... anyone had their band there? I am a nervous wreck!! people keep telling me I am crazy to have this done, but I know it is the right thing for me. I never feel full when I eat and eat and eat. I am 130lbs over my usual weight. I attribute my weight gain to being on antidepressants for 5 yrs. Let me know how you all did with your bandings Juju

    Esophageal Dilation

my understanding is that when you eat too much, the esophagus starts to fill up and dilate. Is that correct banders??
  8. :nervous good luck today!! You will be feeling great in no time. My doc told me the difference in the smaller band vs larger band is just the size- kind of like a belt, he said. anyway, i will keep you in my prayers.. juju soon to be banded

wowzer!!! Keep it up and we won't be able to see you :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: congratulations girl!
  10. wouldn't it be nice if we could just take a chocolate pill and be rid of all these antidepressants?? wish godiva would come up with one!!
  11. CONGRATS!!! 12 lbs is alot!! keep up the good work
  12. I have a surgery date of feb 20. My MD told me to start drinking from a medicine cup to get use to sipping liquids. I can't imagine myself taking an hour to have a meal- I usually eat fast, hardly chew, and gulp. Did it take a long time for banders to learn how to eat again?? How do you know when to stop eating- do you get full immediately? Right now, I can eat for ever without really feeling full.
  13. Who coined that phrase anyway? I am not Morbid!! I am fluffy, and warm, and smooshy... not morbid!!! Hate that word.
