    getting stuck

Well I know for a fact I was stuck. Cause I seen what was stuck ,come up , of course after it came up I could only suck on ice chips till the next day and I know after all the vomiting I had swelling and that is probably why I could only eat ice chips, the next day I was able to swallow more , but since I have been on a liquid diet and I have noticed today I was able to drink more than just 1/2 a cup of coffee, I am working with my band not against it , after all it takes to get through this journey I would not go against it, I do have to admit it was hard at first but now I am finding it very easy and every time I go to the doctor they are pleased with me cause they say I am losing 4-5 lbs a month. Also I can tell the difference in my clothes and people.are noticing which makes me happy.

    getting stuck

Yes that is what the dr. Said that my stoma was probably swollen from so much vomiting, I am still able to drink but I do notice the difference of amount , also I have a cough but it is from my sinus infection I have , I am wondering if this has happened to any one and how long before they were able to get back to normal, I am hoping my band didn't slip
  5. On Sunday I got some food stuck it was the first time that that has happened to me since I had my surgery back in April, it really scared me I couldn't hold nothing down finally mid day I decided to drink a little bit of soda when I did it actually caused a lot of pain and finally made it come out on Monday I went to the doctor since I had a doctors appointment they ended up having to draw out some fluid because I was not able to hold down much liquid, the doctor said for one week to be on a liquid diet but I notice I am still having some trouble holding down liquids or rather I should say, I can drink my soup but I'm only holding down like half a can of broth soup I am filling up right away I am just wondering if anybody has gone through this how long does it take for everything to readjust again also has anybody had the problem when they go to draw out some of the fluid they're not able to draw all of it out my doctor was only able to draw out some not all of it for some reason they could not get it all drawn out, so when I go back next Wednesday the doctor said they will do a barium swallow and re add fluid
  6. @@terriewoods I think we are suppose to drink like 20-30 minutes before or after , not during so that your food sits longer and keeps you full longer
  7. I went for my second fill on 6/4 and as of 6/9 I lost 2.8 lbs, and this time the same day I have notice it wad little tighter than last time

Trying to get used to my Lap-Band

@crystapeffexx Thank You for this info, I knew this journey would be hard but did not realize how hard. Today I felt like I was losing this battle but after reading your input I feel a whole lot better. I am so ready to start a kickboxing/boxing class but the doctor said I have to wait 2 wks more, you know I feel like I just need so much support to help me get through this other people do no understand what a battle it is to loose weight, my husband is supportive but he is very thin and can eat anything and does not gain weight so he really does not get the concept of how hard this is. I also knew that there would be bandster hell , I am hoping that what I am going thru is considered bandster hell

Trying to get used to my Lap-Band

I am just wondering is it normal during this period to loose 1lb and then gain it back , loose it again and gain it back again ?

Trying to get used to my Lap-Band

@2muchrose my surgery was not bad at all to be honest I was hardly sore, I had my surgery on 4/11 Friday and by 4/13 I was back at work and I did not tell any one at work I had this surgery. I had my first fill may 2nd and it was not bad at all. I did have a lot of shoulder pain after surgery but I read in a post that if you rotate your arms it helps get rid of the gas pain and it did help me by the next day it was all gone.

Trying to get used to my Lap-Band

The reason I know I am having restriction is cause at lunch I felt full 1/2 thru my soup and lately I had to be careful cause I could finish everything without even thinking about it

Trying to get used to my Lap-Band

Well to be honest , I have a horrible habit of not eating breakfast during the week I drink 2 cups of coffee and I use silk milk as my creamer and a 1/2 a packet of splenda. Today for example we went to Lubys for lunch and I had a side salad w/dressing on the side and a cup of chicken noodle soup, for dinner my husband bbq'd hamburgers , so I ate a small portion of the patty w/lettuce and tomato, no bun and no chips...
  14. Wow this takes some getting used to, had my first fill on May 2nd had no restrictions now all of a sudden today I'm having restriction, for the last couple of weeks I have been at a plateau with my weight gain one pound lose 1 pound I am just hoping that I am finally getting past bandster hell

    Ready to work out

Well first you do warm up by running, lunges, and squats. Then you start boxing and right in the middle of boxing the instructor will holler out to do lunges, squats, pushups, jumping jacks or leg kicks at the end of class you end with pushups, planks, and crunches . I use to go at 3-4 days a week and they alternate mondays boxing, tuesdays kickboxing and so on
