post op belly bruising ?
I have two big bruises along the sides of my lower belly, one on each side, and 3 or 4 blood dots near them. Those could be from the Lovinox shots but I can't figure out what the bruises could have come from....... not anywhere near incisions. Do they use clamps to stabilize our bellys during surgery or something? I know when I had my robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy I had bruising but that's because we're put in a few positions but this wasn't done robotically. Anyone else have/had unexplained bruises?

Freakin' Fecal Test - Warning, Rant Ahead
Haddockseyes, I get you. If a colonoscopy or even an ekg was required for my surgery I probably would have backed out. My anxiety with medical procedures is off the charts and the less the better. It IS a psychological thing and its frustrating to live with. I've had a gyns finger up my ass one time in my 20's and never since by any gyn, even my reproduction endocrinologist. No way. If they want to cop a feel then they need to do it under anesthesia with me. Yes, it's a psychological thing. Irrational? Yes, but we are well aware of that too. We know what the consequences COULD be too.

I feel like I am dying! =/
My Dr does not allow pudding or dairy at this point. I would stop eating that and just stick with the protein drinks and water for now

protonix and applesuce/juice
That's what it said on the script insert. Mmmmmmm coffeeeeee. I just took it with a tiny bit of applesauce. Let's hope there is no repercussion. Fingers crossed!

protonix and applesuce/juice
Right but the protonix have to be taken with apple juice or sauce for the ph balance for the protonix. I still haven't taken it. I'm scared.

Jealous
Not really. He's been kind of an overly sensitive grumpy jerk. It's not how I expected it would be. so I just mind my own business now. He can deal with it himself.

Gallstones
Getting my gallbladder out was super easy compared to this rny surgery. I got gallstone attacks every week for about 7 weeks when I was pregnant with my twins. Couldn't eat anything w/o triggering one. Lived on Slim Fast drinks only. Had to get twins heartbeats on monitors before they would give me the demerol/phenergan cocktail, then wait two hours to get another dose for the pain to stop. Every. Single. Time. I wanted to die. 7 days after emergency csection at 33 wks (severe preeclampsia) the duct got blocked. 3 days later my gallbladder came out. The next day all three of us went home. Gallstones suck!! Good riddance!

protonix and applesuce/juice
How am I supposed to take the protonix granules if I'm not supposed to have the sugar that's in the apple juice??? So first I was afraid to take the Omaprozole capsule because it seemed too big and it did go down uncomfortably and now I'm afraid to take the protonix because of the sugar in the apple juice. I have sugar free apple sauce but worried about that hurting going down too. At the hospital the protonix was given via iv and they did give me apple juice and I drank one with no problem (i did dry heave that night though. Don't know what that was from) but the home "rules" from dr is we aren't supposed to have any juice. This sucks.

RNY - how are you feeling?
4 days out and I'm tired of the feeling like a chunk of meat is going down. And that's even when I'm not drinking anything. I don't know what it is. I take tiny sips. How long are we supposed to wait until taking another sip? We are supposed to drink 1oz every 15 min.

RNY - how are you feeling?
not good. Do they know why Leena?

Question on pain
Everyone is different. I had an emergency csection, extra wide, with my twins. Pain meds don't work on me so I have to just deal with the pain as I'm doing now 3 days post op from rny. Do you remember the tightness of muscles around the csection area? It's the same except mid section tightness instead of lower. Walking will help. Good luck!

Bariatric advantage chew bites
We are eating two Flintstone multivitamins at breakfast and two at lunch and BA caramel calcium citrite 500mg 1x/day. At least I think that's the regime. This was our first day. I better double check. Lol

RNY - how are you feeling?
Hi all, surgery was last Friday. Got home from hospital yesterday. Doing ok I guess. Trying to get down the required 60g of protein. Can barely do 30g. And water too?? Ha. Every sip hurts like I'm swallowing a big chunk of meat. Pharmacy is out of protonix until tomorrow afternoon. I'm wondering what a good soup would be that is high in protein? Broth only has 2g. Thx
