  1. I don't know but I do know I haven't lost any weight since starting it :/
  2. He just said it's rare. He also said he has his patients on omaprezole for 30 days after surgery. And unrelated to those answers I'm changing bariatric drs. I'm tired of him making me feel like he's annoyed with me my questions, among other this. I've had enough.
  3. Oh, and he's a stupid jerk who doesn't listen to me too. I almost brought my husband to the ER lay Saturday night but called our dr instead. I told him he was nauseas, had very dark urine, couldn't drink much or get up and in pain and not doing well at all. He just told him to drink more and scripted smooth antinausea med. We went to our post op visit yesterday where he had me drive him to the er and now ask this. The stupid moron Dr should have listened to me and told me to bring him to the ER on Saturday and I should have trusted my gut and ignored the Dr and brought him there anyway. He could have been.better by now and not suffered 4 more days.
  4. Update again, he's got pancreatis and a clot in his intestines to liver. Well be in Coumadin fir 3 months. He still has some pain and on morphine but is walking better today. Nausea is better too, except after drinking the contrast and barium. And diarrhea from the iv antibiotics. Dr is looking at Sunday fir discharge but we don't want him to leave until he does another ct scan to check the clot and until he has no pain, but not really sure how long this pain well last so........ As for me, I'm fine. Moved on to mushy foods yesterday. I don't know how I'm going to get in 4-5 "meals" in though. Plus I've stalled on the weight loss and I don't like it and blaming the food. I do need to start walking regularly, I just forget. I have been pretty busy going here and there though. I'm pretty ticked at our surgeon fir how he treats me. He has not one examined me, not before surgery, right after our even at post op yesterday. I went back today to get Vitamins and asked if the nurse if she could check the bulge on my belly too see if that's normal or not, would only take a second. They put me in a room and Dr cane in. I asked him and he "reminded" (saying sarcastically) me that he told me it would go down once the stitch dissolves and it would all be even again. Well that's not what I was asking, I wanted him to feel the harder bulge above the stitch and he argued with me that there's nothing they yet he never touched it. He always talks to me like I'm annoying him. I'm done. I deserve better. So I will be finding a different bariatric dr. this whole experience hasn't been good for me with this Dr. He refused to give me the one pain med that works on me when all others don't after surgery and making me suffer and then making me feel like an annoyance to him all the rest of the time. I don't want to see him anymore. Otherwise, my incisions are fine but itchy, my belly too. Lol Thanks for asking <3
  5. Toradil doesn't work either. Don't know about lidocaine Patches. I'm most worried about if I have an accident or another surgery.
  6. So I got the clear to move on to stage two so I ate pureed tuna with light mayo. I ate 2 oz and don't feel that full feeling I hear so much about. Don't feel much of anything for that matter. Is this normal?
  7. Update, looks like pancreatitis and blood clot. Now I'm getting worried...
  8. Thanks! But tuna breath is SO gross. Lol
  9. I know! Isn't this crazy?? I can have pureed tuna but no creamed soups.... dumb
  10. ok. so maybe him not getting up and moving was legit. my bad. At our post op apt this afternoon our surgeon had me take him to the ER so they could give him fluids for dehydration, get blood work done and do ct scan. He is anemic we know that but surgeon doesn't think he'll need a transfusion. He told him that his counts were on the low side in the hospital too but that's not uncommon for sleeve patients because they can lose a lot of blood during surgery. But my husband and I feel he should have kept in in the hospital longer to make sure the count goes up. His count in the hospital was 25 and today it's 35. He is SO pale He has to drink a huge amount of contrast, which will be impossible, in an hour and a half for the ct scan. Ya, good luck with that. There's got to be a better way. Hopefully he will keep him overnight and run more blood work tomorrow to see how he's doing. Dr said he won't let him go home until he's feeling better. That's what we want to hear BUT, he should have admitted him last Saturday night when I called him at 10pm to tell him he's not ok.
  11. bah! cleared for stage II but still no Soup. Hey, I'm ok with that! I can make "soup" from pureed squash and whatever else I'm allowed to have on the list. Right now I'm eating pureed tuna with a little bit of light mayo. yum!! I don't know why I can't have soup though. weird.
  12. well, our surgeon had me drive my husband (sleeve) to the ER where he'll get a ct scan, blood work and IV fluids. He's been there since 2pm. I don't know HOW he's going to drink all that contrast liquid they want him to drink in an hour and a half. Pretty much impossible. Should be interesting. Especially after they gave him Zofran and morphine (he is having pain in his lower intestines again. He has a history of diverticulitis). Dr says he's anemic but doesn't need a transfusion. I don't understand why he even sent him home from the hospital if his counts were showing he was anemic then too or at least scripted him Iron, which he didn't do, other than the iron from the 2 chewable Flintstones we get every day. Anyway, hopefully the ct scan shows everything is ok and if not then it's easily fixed so that my husband can start to feel better. He hasn't had one good day in 2 weeks since surgery. As for me (rny), I've been cleared for pureed/mushy foods stage II! YAY!!!! First up is pureed tuna with a little bit of light mayo and a light sprinkle of dill. MMMMMmmmmmm!!!!! I was hoping pea Soup was ok but it's not on the approved list. Peas are high in sugar or something like that. I forget. boooooooo. lol Our list says no Soups, no juice, no rice, no puddings, no tortilla, no bread, and a bunch of other no's. Different than what I hear some people on here are allowed to have. So I will just have to make "soup" with the fresh veggies that are on my list and can make a fake banana pudding (just pureed pudding and maybe adding vanilla Protein powder). Time to get inventive with my new foods!!!
  13. All of my pants are falling off. Resorting to wearing my string tie scrubs. Lol 25 down. Going to have to roll my boobs up into my bra soon. Lol!
  14. I'm only getting 320 call per day from the two 30g Protein drinks. Been losing about a pound per day. But I'm so hungry. Hopefully tomorrow I'm cleared for 2nd stage. Weight loss will probably slow down though but energy level might go up.
  15. Flintstones chewables with Iron. But they taste like I chewed up a penny.
  16. I know walking is good but I'm already noticing flabby skin and I don't like it. What can I do now that won't hurt my incisions/abs? Thx
  17. Ok. Thx.so then I just need to work on my patience. But I still think he needs to get up and MOVE. Nausea our not. I'm worried he'll get pneumonia. He's worried about missing work.
  18. Almost bright him to ER the other night but called or surgeon first. He just said to drink more (he's drinking more than I am) and scripted another nausea med that has helped a little. I'm getting very frustrated with him though. All he does is lay around. I feel he HAS to MOVE, get up, be determined to do all this and feel better!!! He hasn't drank much today yet. Just lays there and sleeps. I just want to tell at him to get the hell up. He gets frustrated too because of the nausea but at this point I feel the nausea is because of the equilibrium from laying down most of the time. He HAS to fight through this!! Sorry, but I'm just venting. Better on her than to him. Our post op appt is this wed. And that means he has to get up, ride in the car 20 minutes and walk to the Dr office and back. After that I'm making him stay up. I've had it. We are 11 days post op now.
  19. I swear my old tummy is grumbling for food. I hope that stops eventually. The hunger is not where my pouch is.
  20. 11 days post op, I'm hungry, hate drinking, hungry, I want soup!!!!!! Why do some people get to drink Soups in their first week and our stupid Dr makes us wait two weeks? I know it's to help with healing but I feel it will be fine for me. Post op appt is Wednesday and I better get the ok our I might just have to defy him. (I get grumpy when I'm hungry, can you tell?) Again, I wish these "rules" were the same for everyone and every Dr everywhere.
  21. It's dumb, isn't it, that every Dr has their own protocol. My husband and I are on the lower bmi side and had to do a two week diet. For 12 days we had to drink at least 32oz of Water or sf flavored water, 3-4 Protein drinks and a choice of 3oz meat and choice of 1 cup cooked veggies or 2 cups raw. The last two days was liquid only. I thank God we were allowed the meal! (That protocol was for all of his patients)
  22. Thank you! :-) that's insightful. We see him on Wednesday and I'll ask. I know my friend got an ulcer in her old stomach and almost died so yes, I'm a bit curious what his answer is going to be.
  23. I have no idea. My Dr never talked to me about my surgery. :/
