  1. Welcome. I am curious to follow your journey.
  2. Well doctor told me go ahead and try when I want to try because I was doing so well and I had a little bit of clam chowder Friday night and I nibbled a little bit on a grilled cheese sandwich and it seem to be OK the rest the weekend as mostly on liquids and protein drink until today when I had some tuna patties and fried potatoes and it did not go well at all so tomorrow I am back on my protein shakes and sugar-free Jell-O
  3. That is exactly what my doctor said too. I thought I was doing really good I start eaten a few things like clam chowder and I know Moore did on the grill cheese sandwich tonight I made tuna patties and fried potatoes and I found out solid food is not my friend right now so back to protein drinks good luck everyone
  4. I can’t seem to find my full point either I haven’t been sick but it seems like food goes through me pretty quickly how my going to know when I am truly full?
  5. Yes that is what I am worried about too. Once I start adding in foods, which ones are not going to agree with me. I hope this passes quickly for you.
  6. Went to get my discharge ball out today and down another 4.6 lbs. I am so excited.
  7. I just figured it out. The Ticker you get from your sign in name drop down list.
  8. I am one week post op and feeling like what am I doing wrong this is too good to be true! Had to take my hubby to Walk in clinic today and got on the scale and I am down 12lbs. already. I know this is not the norm but I was very happy. I am going in tomorrow to hopefully get my discharge bag removed. Then hopefully can go back to work. I hope all is going good for the rest of you and I will try to be on as much as possible,
  9. Lol I don’t know what track that is sorry
  10. I had my revision done on 1018 and this is three days post op not been drinking a lot of Crystal light I’m eating sugar free Popsicles and sugar-free Jell-O for the next week and I think I’m feeling pretty good but yeah I get pretty tired also they also have this tube coming out of the side of my stomach for discharge so I’m hoping to get that removed next or this Thursday when I go see my doctor for. Anyway I’m kind a new to this so I’m gonna keep trying to come on and get suggestions in friendships And I wish you all a blessed day
  11. Don't be afraid to tell your Dr. anything. They are there for you. And yes when they give you the fill the test it to see how it travels through. It is a good indication if anything is wrong. But don't worry, I was not the saint I was suppose to be either. Good luck in your Journey I know you will do great.
  12. I thought clear liquids too but my dr. said no! Clear liquids the first24 hrs after surgery and then liquid only. So I would drink protein shake in am but be uncomfortable so went to 1/2 protein drink and crystal light the rest of the time with a small pudding once in a while. Just done with my 1 week post op and down 18.7lbs. You can do this.
  13. I was excited to find out how my one week apt, would go. Best case scenario lost 20lbs worst case scenario gained 5 - 10lbs. Well the envelope says .............. Down 18.7lbs in one week. OMG who is excited????? BUT to all you newbies this is not the norm. And I know this will not last loosing this much in one week but I had to share! Yes get my oatmeal that I have been wanting the last few days.
  14. I realize it is a special event, But you will have other birthdays. Use this day as a day of commitment to yourself that you can change. Still have fun and enjoy your day. Besides the big one is 50 and I am past that one too. lol Good Luck
  15. I was never required to be on a pre-op diet. Maybe because I was self pay. But I put it on myself to do a test diet since I having to drink protein shakes. It wasn't too bad, but I am telling you once you have the band you have to stick to what the doctor says because you don't want to have emergency surgery for messing up the port or something else. I am finishing my first week tomorrow and hoping the Dr. says it is ok for me to have oatmeal. Remember this is a tool and you are not going to be on the first 4 stages forever but you do have to control what goes in those lips. Good Luck and welcome.
  16. I want to say Thank you Alex for starting this site and Thank you to the members for all their support. You are a life saver!
  17. Hello go to your settings its the wheel (it looks like a wheel with spikes) by your log in name and go to my tickers and then it will walk you though the set up process.
  18. I don't mind needles as long as they are not going in me!
  19. I am 5 days post op and have been doing ok on sugar free pudding and liquids. Today I want to try some oatmeal do you think this is ok or do I have to wait another week? I did eat a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter last night and ate it very slow. Also I just want to say thank goodness for stool softeners and don't wait too long before you take them. Have a great day everyone and I love reading the forums.
  20. You can also check into FMLA(Family Medical Leave). This usually takes your sick leave or vacation time but you don't have to tell anyone anything. Check it out. Welcome to WLS.
  21. yep I took a well needed stool softener tonight with no problem.
  22. I have had the same problem. Last night I crushed them and used sugarfree carmel pudding to get them down but it still left a aftertaste. Wish it was easier. Too afraid to take them at their small size in fear they will get stuck.
  23. I had my band on Friday. I have a little soreness but am feeling positive. Everyone is different with their aches and pains and hopefully you can find answers here that will get you through. If not please call your dr. and ask. He is more than willing to help you through this. Getting ready to go on my first walk. Excited but scared I will run out of breath. Taking my husband so he can help me. Everyone have a blessed day. And thanks for being my other family. <3
  24. It just all of a sudden happened. I haven't been feeling really well today, Havent drank a lot of anything, had the runs for a bit then started to dry heave. Sucked on a cracker now I am feeling better.
  25. Anybody have dry heaves shortly after surgery?
