  1. Yep yep! Quite sure! I crack me up sometimes lol
  2. Ummmmmm that loose comment was about my stool.....not me personally LoL!
  3. They sent me home on an iron supplement. Not only did it give me diarrhea but it was black! They should warn a girl about such things! They let me stop the supplement but at 6 weeks out I'm still what you would call "loose". Most likely from the whey protein. Hang in there!
  4. Elyquint, It took me a few trips to this website to figure out that NUT meant nutritionist! LOL@ me
  5. Blondiee, how long have you been on this journey? I too don't have any room after my protein!
  6. Thanks everyone, it has gotten better so I'm very thankful. I am going to pay attention to what I eat prior to it flaring up in the future. I'm happy to avoid whatever it is! And no, no gall bladder on board!
  7. Yeah....when I was dieting the general rule of thumb was 130 grams carbs because that is what it takes for normal brain function. But I was expected to get them in fruits and veggies. Harder to do that when you are sleeved. I mentioned before that I'm not expected to count them ( like I have room for them to begin with) but I am early in my journey.
  8. My immediate thought was protein, protein, protein.....good luck!
  9. I haven't thought about carbs at all. I'm still trying to get all my protein in...80 grams. By the time I eat my protein I'm full! I'm wondering when I will have enough room for extras......I imagine it won't be for a while.
  10. Seems a couple hours later they started back up. Seems it only happens when my sleeve is empty? Anyone else experience this?
  11. So.......a half an hour ago I ate a scrambled egg. No pain since I ate. Hunger pangs??!! I'm such a dork.......
  12. Yeah.....won't be trying it again soon, that's for sure. At this point my stomach may hurt simply because I haven't eaten in the last 8 hours lol
  13. Mollz, I am concentrating on getting 80 grams of protein and am trying to get as much through real food as possible which means my meat consumption has increased. I ate some beef for lunch ( I usually eat fish and chicken) and it was seasoned with Mexican seasoning.
  14. I have been upgraded to regular food from soft food which was pretty much still almost purée consistency for me other than scrambled eggs because I was afraid.....so pretty much everything is new....at least texture wise. Thanks for your well wishes
  15. Hello all, I'm 6 weeks out and this afternoon evening for the first time I'm having some episodic pain. I'm wondering if it's gas? I tried something new at lunch this afternoon. I just chewed a gas x. I'm afraid to eat anything else. I'm drinking and that seems to maybe add a little more discomfort than usual but now I'm being super sensitive to how everything feels. What does it feel like if you don't chew something well enough and it gets stuck? I'm just trying to cover all my bases. The pain comes in waves that only last a few seconds and they are right where my stomach is and across both ways a little ways. Maybe I found something I can't tolerate? Suggestions?
  16. Honestly, I think people notice long before they say anything. I think they wait until it's pretty obvious before they say anything. I think they consider it safer that way.
  17. What an honor to be such a good role model to your sis n law that she wants to follow in your footsteps! I'm sorry her insurance is not WLS friendly.
  18. Oh.....and congrats on your loss of 50 pounds! Yay you!
  19. Others who are at your bmi might have input but my first thought after reading your post was to call. Call the dietitian or nurse practitioner on your team and ask. I right now I'm trying to get 80 grams in a day! Lol
  20. Congrats on your 50 lbs gone! You said that sometimes you don't eat. Eating less is not always the key. My nurse practitioner stresses the 5 small meals a day and protein protein protein! We have to keep that metabolism going I guess. Good luck!
  21. Hrhlaurie, I went for a follow up today with the nurse practitioner. I'm 5 weeks out now and starting regular food. Even though everything I eat is protein I'm still not getting in enough protein! She told me that it is common for people to supplement with the protein powder or ready made protein drinks for 6 months or better.
  22. Whew! Now that it's all out in the open......Onward! I'm so glad it turned out so well. We really are our own best enemies.....the things that grow in our head.....crazy!
  23. Elfnow, sorry! I bet that WAS confusing! LOL
  24. Pat, I too love the bomb pops. I get mine at schnucks and the 2 times I bought them I got the last box! I can't even stock up! They must be popular!?
  25. Great thread! Here goes.... Walk up a flight of stairs without being winded....then 2 etc Go for long bike rides Tuck my shirt in Not worry about chairs and if they are sturdy enough for me or have to look for ones without arms Be able to fit in a booth at a restaurant Be able to wear cute sandals without my dogs barking Fly in coach.....so many places I want to go! Be able to buy clothes in any department store Be comfortable in seats at the ballpark and symphony etc Be able to walk long distances so that the zoo and botanical gardens aren't a challenge Have energy after a long day Feel confident when speaking in front of a large group See my clavicles!
