  1. Well, I haven't wanted to say anything....I've just been reading what you all have been saying for weeks. Now, I can and will say....."Thank you, Jesus!" (and I mean that) I'm not the only one that has been wondering if they were really banded, if they've wasted their money, etc. I've had one fill and am waiting for my second (the floro machine is down at the moment and my NP won't do a fill blind) I don't have any restriction and can eat "ANYTHING". I've been sooooo discouraged!!! Now at least I feel somewhat normal and I can't wait for my next fill now! I have hope that this band will work!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I had my 1st fill 1 week ago and I didn't feel a thing. I was standing and the needle was sticking in me while they did the flouroscope(xray), no lidocaine or anything. I thought it went great! I worried for no reason.
  3. I with you! I was banded on 10/12, a little over two weeks ago. I have been hungry and eating too much at each meal. (head hunger/boredom)I have been feeling like a failure. I've lost 12 and gained 2. Went out to eat with friends this past week, sipped on soup. They noticed I didn't eat bread sticks and salad. I just said I'm trying to be good...they don't know I've been banded. Went to a family reunion yesterday...ate a couple of bites of soft cassaroles and TWO pieces of pie.:faint:I'm calling the doctor's office to see if I can get a fill soon. I was glad to hear that this seems to be normal for the banding time line. (not really "glad") I've spent too much money for this not to work and for "me" not to "work".
  4. I was banded on Friday 10/12 and am back at work today Mon 10/15. I felt fine after on Friday, then when I woke up Sat I felt like I had been kicked by a horse and then run over by a truck. (the anesthesia had worn off) but with pain meds it was tollerable. I had a 4 hour drive home then. Rested on Sunday, back at work like I said...but feel like I'm in a fog and still a little sore (taking Tylenol liquid). I feel like I have something stuck in my throat. What can that be? I was told by my doc to drink something warm in the AM to open up my pouch, (because mucus builds up overnight) but it doesn't feel like it is working...still have that stuck feeling. I get to start creamy Soup today and can hardly wait to try that...but don't want it stuck in my throat. Okay enough of that:violin:....my insides are making all kinds of sounds too....hope nobody comes in my office this afternoon. I guess I should say that I've lost 8 lbs since starting the pre-op diet on Sun 10/7. I'll make me a ticker as soon as I can figure that out. Glad to be on the Band Wagon!:whoo::clap2:
  5. Holly...can't wait to hear how you are doing. I also can't wait to join you in Bandland this Friday. Congrats!!!!
  6. Congrats...to all that are banded!!! I want to encourage you to keep up the good work...just know that the healing stage will pass and you will be feeling better soon! My day is coming up Friday...this liquid pre-op isn't fun and I can't wait til it's over to have something else to complain about.:heh: ( I just know myself so well) Anyway....Feel better and thanks for sharing what's going on with you!
  7. Good to hear that you are doing so well!:whoo:I have surgery this Friday and am getting a little anxious.
  8. I've started my pre-op diet and go for surgery Friday. My BMI is 33. It is good to read all this again to confirm that this is the right thing to do for myself. Thanks everyone!:car:
  9. Wishing you both well...I can hardly wait til I'm banded Friday. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and kinda nervous about that. Not looking forward to being hungry, but it's a new way of life after that. Keep us posted on how things are going for you.
