  1. So glad I read this thread because I have been experiencing the same thing since my band to gastric bypass. I was reading other threads and feeling down because they were losing so fast. Now I don't feel bad with the 1 to 2 pound loss a week. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Went for my 2 wk post op and was told I could start introducing soft foods. I could try fish as long as I could break with a fork, chicken, tuna, could have fruit as long as it is cut toddler size n veggies as long as it was soft. Also remember to chew n chew. I am learning when I am full, keeping a log, making sure to get my Protein in but the Water is the hardest. I am averaging a 1-2 lb weight loss a week.

  3. Yes, I am feeling better. Due to my diabetes it was suffering with neuropathy really bad. My friend gave me something to help and I feel so much better. Going to call my doctor tomorrow to talk to her about it. When did any of u start going to the gym to walk? I am trying to get in fluids I feel like I am not getting enough. Any suggestions?

  4. I would go with what ur Doc suggested. I had a band for almost 7 years and didn't lose the weight I needed and was still on diabetes meds. Also my band slipped so I had it removed to gastric. I am a diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I researched both the sleeve and gastric and talked about it with my doc and asked her if she were in my shoes which would she do. She stated gastric due to lower risk than the sleeve, would come off my diabetes meds, and would lose more weight. I am glad I made the right decision for me and I should have done it right the first time instead of worrying about the time off. I have taken off so much time from illness associated with my weight. So this time off will help me when I heal not to be taken off for weight related issue. Good luck with ur decision!!
