  1. I'd love to walk with you, just send me your number. I walked around Prospect Lake this morning for Walk for Life! Eating meat may not be OK, but I ate tiny, little bites and ground that chicken into mush before swallowing so hope those 2 Tbsp were OK... I might be doing this phase of eating all wrong but meeting with my Nut this week so she can set me straight. I probably had the completely wrong dinner tonight of 4 -5 Tbsp of butternut squash Soup, a quarter of slice of swiss cheese and half a piece of wafer thin cut ham. Can I have those together? I'm sort of winging this food phase but stomach feels OK and not as much of the gurgling tonight.

I sent you a pm message with my number. :-)

  2. I'm down 12 pounds since surgery to 238, and 32 pounds overall. My rings are loose but staying on my fingers so far. I had a couple tablespoons Peanut Butter and mashed banana but even though I eat tiny little bites, I'm eating them too fast and causing major stomach gurgles. I thought not drinking with meals would be the hardest thing to do but earing slower has jumped to the top of the list. Here's a weird thing, my incisions have started itching the past few days but I expected that since they are healing. However, it's almost like the incision areas are going through some kind of allergic reaction. They're all red, but not like with an infection, but red and some reddish bumps and really itchyskin around the perimeter of the incisions. I don't have a fever or pain and no pus or any signs of infection, but almost like the skin is irritated. Guess I'll try to get in on Monday morning to have them checked out. Went to Wendys with family today and weird that nothing sounds amazing to me. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap, opened it up and pulled a little bit of the chicken apart into little pieces and ate little bites of chicken and some of the cheese and was full pretty quick so I stopped. I thought the first meal of non-measured food, I thought I would have a hard time figuring out how much to eat. Thank goodness my tummy was ready to provide warning gurgles to warn me to stop!

You're already eating meat. Yum. I just got mushy foods today. I'm in the springs and walk around prospect lake if you'd like to join me :-) pm me and I'll give you my number if you're interested. We were sleeved on the same day.

  3. Can you believe we all have tini-tiny stomachs now? What a week its been. Some have had remarkable painfree success and some have been downright miserable. At this stage everyone is in totally different places as far as food/liquid/nutrition. For those on Clear Liquids for awhile longer, if you didn't know, Isopure makes a clear drink thats 40g Protein. Its sold at some GNC stores. Might help get some protein in while being kind to your new stomach. I hope by the end of this week everyone is feeling fantastic! Here is the run down! I have an idea, let me know what you guys think... What I can start doing next week after we all lose the excess surgery fluid... so everyone can see easily how much everyone has lost, is each week we can weigh in Mondays and I can put it after your name on the new Tuesday thread. It would be great to be able to see how everyone is doing at a glance - ie (lylabelle -6). It will be fun the first few weeks when we will probably all be dropping really well (except week 3 is typically a stall). You guys can message your number to me if you want so we keep our thread clean and filled with tips, tricks, recipes, annoyances and NSVs! Let me know what you think. Love this group! Hey I'm here. I had a very rough first 2 days. I'm good now just exhausted.. Just been so Bleh these past few days. But doing good. And catching back up with everyone. Down 14lbs as of today. Getting all my liquids in and protein almost.

Hope everyone else is doing good. :-)

  4. Hi all. I am getting sleeved tomorrow. I've had surgery before but this is different. My mom went on for surgery on April 3rd and got a blood clot and passed away April 4th. Just about 2 months ago. She was my main support. My in case of emergent person. I've found myself breaking down. Now I'm mostly afraid of dying and leaving my 3 year old daughter alone. She's lost 2 people in the past 8 months. I'm just stressed and can't sleep.

  5. I did! :-) today and it sucks. Lol. Mine was Clear Liquids. And Isopure is disgusting. Anyways. I'm getting sleeved tomorrow. Very excited. And congrats on your journey. I thought I was gonna do a couple extra days of liquids on my own too but when it came down to it I just wanted to enjoy the last super crap I could. The freeness of eating when I want how I want. I will miss that. And only that. :-)

  6. Hi. Im sandi. Very excited. My surgery date is May 29th, New Jersey. I came down with a cold yesterday, I hope it will not postpone anything. Taking good care of myself before hand. No pre op liquids required by my doctor but I think I will anyway at least 3 days. Good luck to everyone. :)

I'm only required a clear liquid the day before. But I think I'll do a full liquid starting Monday. Surgery on Thursday. I feel that would be a good challenge and kind of know what I can do.

  7. I don't miss shopping in the tiny plus sized section of the store that was mostly old lady clothes. I don't miss my thighs chaffing together. I don't miss the boob sweat or underboob rash. I don't miss huffing and puffing on family walks. I don't miss being the fat mom at every event. I don't miss the dread of running into someone I've not seen in years cuz I'd gained so much weight. I don't miss having to have every hair in place and makeup done every time I left the house because I didn't want to be the sloppy fat lady. I don't miss sweating uncontrollably doing every day tasks. I don't miss feeling cramped in a bathroom stall, turning sideways going down an aisle or squeezing past people and still bumping them. I don't miss having to request a table over a booth or if one was not available, squeezing in, belly and boobs resting against the table. I don't miss being unable to paint my own toenails and breathing at the same time. I don't miss wearing all black all the time cuz no one would be able to tell that I was fat if I did that. (Eye roll) I don't miss making excuses to get out of doing stuff because being so fat made me so tired... I could go on forever. Nope. I don't miss a thing.

    Love all this!!!!!

  8. Hi All. What great responses. I already feel like I have a "sleever tribe" :) Let's definitely all stay in touch. I should go to one of those support groups, too. Are you all on Facebook? I could set up a private group for us Colorado Sleevers to stay in touch. Maybe we might all meet our soon to be skinny selves. That would be awesome too. Just let me know about the FB group. We don't have to do that, but just a thought. The NUT leading our 6 week pre-surgery classes at Kaiser mentioned that some people have done that. I have two people in particular from those classes getting the sleeve too, and I think they would be totally up for it. Patrice

Love the fb idea!!! Sign me up!! And that would be an excellent way for us all to keep in touch and updated on losses and struggles. I love it. :-) let me know the name.

  9. Hi all, I live in Boulder, CO I had my Sleeve done 01/09/2014 with Dr Jonathan Schoen in Aurora, CO so far -77 pounds total from my highest weight! I would love to meet local sleevers for support. my instagram is VSGMEX follow me!

Nice! And congrats. He is also my surgeon. :-) Nice to meet you. I live in Colorado Springs. How exciting. :-)

Also I sent you a follow request. I'm slimindownthick in Instagram

  10. Lol that's good if you didn't cheat. Good willpower. :-) As far as the diet I haven't had to do one. I am only required to do a one day clear liquids the day before surgery. I guess I got lucky. But I have just yesterday cut out all badness. No more fries or burgers. Today I had a shake for Breakfast and then a huge salad for lunch. So I'm trying myself to loose 10lbs before surgery which is next thrush at as you are fully aware of. As we have the same date.. :-) lol. Wishful thinking maybe but I'm gonna do good. WE are going to do great. Nice to chat with you. :-)
