Had my final meeting with surgeon.
You can do anything you put your mind to. You can read success stories on this site of men and women who weighed over 400 that have lost hundreds. Lap-band is slower but is well worth it. you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck.

Stall at 1.5 weeks post-op-seriously?
I dont even own a scale. I weigh once a month at the doctors office. Dont get frustrated. But i would try just weighing once a week. Just my opinion.

ARRRGGGGHHHHH! my mother #$)&(*U#)(*
My mom would have been the same way. I didnt decide to have WLS til after she passed away. But i do wish sometimes that she was here to rant at me and tell me that I made a mistake. Then i would just tell her that it was my decision and to get over it. lol. Take the attitude from her in stride and just be happy with the decision that YOU made. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think I need a fill? Can you eat rice?
so agree with MRSTO. If i have carbs early in the day then i crave them all day. I start off with one egg in the morning about 6am and im pretty good till lunch.

In Between Pants Sizes
Hey lap band evelyn, I am right there with you. Im taller that you but started in a 24 and now my 18's are a little loose. Maybe we can motivate one another to hit the 16 mark by the end of October. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No weight loss for over a week
I weigh once a month. I dont even own a scale at home, i weigh at the doctors office. Dont get discouraged. Just have someone hide your scale for a couple of weeks.

What is the funniest thing you remember after surgery? Or do you have a funny experience?
The day of my surgery I was very weepy due to the fact that i was afraid that my liver wasnt shriveled enough for surgery (my surgery was scheduled pretty quick and i only did about 7 days of a two week high protein diet). when I woke up after surgery I cried and asked the nurse, " Was my liver small enough?" I could hear her laughing and she said yes sweetheart you did great.

One year anniversary and onderland!
congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! that is wonderful.

I thought I was (fill in the blank), but really, I was just fat.
i thought all of my muffin top issues was from having children....guess what? its because i was fat......
-
is there anyone else who does NOT own a scale?
i dont own one either. I weigh once a month at the doctors office. I figure if its not there at home I wont get disgusted for not losing from day to day.
