Have any of you tried thrive market?? I’m looking into this option. I’m also going to make some changes to my families diet. Part of me is saying to just quit dominos and drive Uber because I know I can make a killing doing it and give me more time to be with my kids and family and work in work outs on my schedule. But idk.

I’m down 20 lbs. everything fits the same. I haven’t looked in a mirror yet. I don’t know when I will. I have no clue where the weight came off.

I asked my nutritionist why 2 weeks and she said this “The 2-week guideline is to allow time for healing in your stomach. This is also the amount of time it takes for digestion to kind of return to normal. When people advance too quickly, we find that is when they have problems with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea -- which then sets them back further than if they had just waited!”
I can’t have Jello. My support people have “better” things to do like play video games and abandon my kids for dnd 😡😡😡 so it’s just my husband and I on our own.
I can’t find sf popsicles. Might have to check target tonight.
I’m looking at what I can eat next week. I asked my nutritionist and am waiting for a response.

Ugh 😑 so yesterday I had the worst pain I’ve ever felt. It was so bad. I cried, I screamed in pain—the Er rushed me back and got me attached to an IV and then gave me some dilaudid which helped some. Got another dose and then a cat scan. They think that my intestines were protesting the surgery from last week. I was also a little dehydrated, so after they gave me a 3rd dose of dilaudid and then a bag of Fluid which helped—honestly I’ve been trying to drink fluids but they just don’t want to go in. Went home and rested for several hours and then was able to take in another 17 oz of fluid pretty easily. Still not feeling good. They told me to pretty much be on bed rest for the next 2-3 days and take my oxycodone every 4 hours. :( why is this so hard?? Surgeon was in surgery at the time but ER talked to him. And I have an appointment with him in a couple hours so that’s good.

I haven’t got gas x yet. Found out I no longer like chicken broth 😩 but Campbell’s YES! Minestrone with kale (strained) tastes good and goes down easy.

Have you tried gas x? It was my go to post op! And don’t feel bad about the 1lb. I gained 10lbs in the hospital from fluids and gas. Best wishes! -

This. Gaining weight in the hospital post-surgery is completely normal. They pump you so full of fluids while you’re in there! I came out 12lbs heavier, but quickly lost it once I was out! -

I'm 9 days out and I hear you about the Water. I barely drank water for the first week, it hurt going down. Powerade Zero is my new favorite beverage. I got tired of super-sweet crystal light.
I don't really feel that hungry so much as I miss eating I think. I do find myself watching lots of cooking videos and looking at restaurant yelp pictures. I have a feeling you're experience the same "head hunger" type thing.

Megan Sadler got a reaction from Good Molly in Question about Fort Carson
I went to my pcm (i have tricare prime, and am on Carson) she sent out a referral for me to get gastric bypass. so now i am just waiting on the paper from tricare about the referral.
Has anyone on here had gastric bypass at Evans Army Community Hospital on Fort Carson? How did it go? how was the surgeon--what all did you have to do between the referral and the surgery date. TIA

Megan Sadler got a reaction from Pjarka in Question about Fort Carson
Well i went into the surgery clinic in the hospita, this morning to get copies of all the paperwork, and got myself on the list for next months wls support group (which aparently they require) they're estimating my surgery date for the beginning of may. so ill be doing that. DH's sgt is getting a leave packet together with open dates so when i have my surgery he can basically just have it ready to go already approved and all.
Im excited about this because i am finally going to lose the weight! but at the same time i think im going to have to hold a funeral for mexican food. (like taco's and steak fajita's that are all calorie and no good for me lol)

Megan Sadler got a reaction from w8loser in Psych eval
I think i just figured out how to make this work! My depression is a symptom of PCOS.... study's have proven RNY Gastric Bypass can completely reverse PCOS and its symptoms! Between that and therapy, id be completely fine! They have to listen to that. thats fucking medical science on my side....

Megan Sadler got a reaction from w8loser in Psych eval
Went to the first appt with the psych evaluation. The fact is that years ago i tried to commit suicied. and last year i did have some issues, that were stressfull to me. BUT i have gotten the help i needed from therapists! instead of harmful ways of coping i am doing things like, talking to my husband, writign out my feelings on paper and walking. all things that are helpful to me. i am functioning better and and am in a more stable invironment. i have worked things out.
But the psychologist basically wants to hold me back and keep revisiting the past. they dont want me getting my life back. I am trying to move on, after having sought out the help i needed, to get to this point. i put off even starting this process during that time. WHY do they need to put me back there again? I was open and honest. now i feel like maybe i should have just lied to them about myself. yes i have had issues in the past but i dont want my past preventing me from having a future. and they dont care. they told me "well people always start out with the best intentions but people just dont stick to it".
GRR! This is making me angery. I want to be able to run after my kids, and not be in pain all the time. i want to feel better about myself and. i want to be healthy and they wont let me get there. i have tried traditional methods to lose weight and it just doesnt work.
