  6. I didn't have any restrictions to caffeine either. You are right to be safe if you have restrictions and best to contact your MD it is better to be safe in making the right decisions.
  7. I use the clear fiber each morning mixed in my coffee. I also take a couple stool softeners each day.

  14. I have the occasional glass of wine (personal preference). I had my first glass of wine about 3 months post op. The wine did not make me sick. Everyone is different, though.

  16. I am 4 months post op on 8/9/2016 and still have vomiting spells most days. I do all that I am suppose to do also. I have started taking Omeprazole each day and going to see if it will help. I will be going back to my surgeon of I don't get better. You are in the early stages and hopefully yours in from the healing process. I have read some people have excellent results and others have nausea and vomiting. I am still thankful I had the surgery. I just need to improve my health problems.

  21. I have heard if you take a tablespoon of flaxseed with yogurt every day this will keep you regular. I have bought the flaxseed but have not started using it yet. Will leave feedback to let you know if it works. I believe it can be added to other food items as well. I have gone through ordeals with irregularity since surgery and did not have this problem prior to surgery.
  22. We had this operation to be able to have a better more enjoyable life. You know by now what you need to do just trust your judgment the way you have done thus far. Don't stress with the scales have and awesome vacation you deserve it after all the hard work.
  23.    OKCPirate reacted to a post in a topic: What are these new hiccup/burp things?
  24. I am 3 months post op as of July 7, 2016. I had hiccups during the first couple of months several times a day which was totally out of the ordinary for me. I have read that many people that have had the sleeve surgery have had this issue also. I still have hiccups on occasion but it is improved tremendously.
  25. I am 3 months post op. Having gas is normal, I used Gas X strips. I also used a stool softener regular as not to get constipated. I am not recommended anything I done only saying this is what worked for me. I had to take little sips all day long to start with as not to have that full feeling in your chest that makes you feel like vomiting. I personally was not able to meet my Protein and Water goals, in the beginning, no matter how much I tried. On a positive note, it has got better and better as time goes by. Everyone is different as to what they can or cannot do. Pamper yourselves and don't worry it usually always works out for the good in time. It has for me. The only thing that bothers me now is I do not tolerate meat very well. I also have a very restricted stomach and can eat very little at a time, maybe 4 or 5 tablespoons at a time. This does not bother me Best of luck to everyone on their journey. I am so proud I was able to have this done, I have no regrets.
  26. I appreciate everyone's input as I enjoy reading from other's on what they eat and drink. I will try any product once to see if it is tolerable. I have a hard time with vomiting after eating. I am able to hold down the Premiere Protein drinks. I am able to eat 1/2 of a bar of the protein bars. I eat slowly and chew my food very well but just have a hard time digesting many foods.
  27. I am 3 months post op and they are still visible. The 2 largest scares by the navel are more raised but healed very well. I think in time they will fade considerably. I use coconut oil and I've tried other scar creams and cocoa butter.
  28.    scampbell33 reacted to a post in a topic: Can I have them 2 months post op?
  29. I will be 3 months post op on 07/07/16, I have been eating Premiere Protein bars 30 grams and Power bars 20 grams. The Premiere Protein Bars has more calories and carbohydrates than the Power bar but the Power bars has fewer carbohydrates and calories. These bars are tolerable but don't taste all that great to me but I eat them for the high protein. I also have tried many protein powders and shakes, I haven't found anything I actually like but I drink the Premiere Protein vanilla 30 grams drink it is 11 ounces and has other Vitamins in it also. I have tried Premiere Protein strawberry and will drink what I bought but I personally like the vanilla the best. I still have a hard time digesting meat of any kind so I have to supplement with bars and shakes to get my protein in.
  30. I had my surgery April 7, 2016. I have lost 30 lbs. thus far.

  32. I have just begun to take my Vitamins that are solid tablet form. I am 2 months and 2 days post op. I have not had any problems. I would be sure and ask your surgeon first.
  33. I use unsweetened almond milk (30 calories for 8 ounces). I could not tolerate milk because it made me nauseous and bloated.
