  1. I am a pastor - and had weight loss surgery. While I don't share the how - I do share the weight loss. It made me healthy again. The question of how does faith interfere with the decision process to me is like asking a cancer patient if they are gonna do chemo if they are a christian. What does that have to do with it?

Good answer Pastor. I believe that God gave the doctors the ability to help patients in ALL aspects.

  2. I do consider myself a Christian, I have personal relationship with God. I too prayed about the surgery and asked God if it's His will that everything would go through with my insurance because I wouldn't be able to afford the out of pocket expenses. I waited for my approval and received the call on the 27th of the 30 days that I was told that it could take. I thanked The Lord and cried tears of joy. I feel even more blessed that God allowed me such a chance to become healthier. I also prayed that my new life style change wouldn't interfere with neither my thoughts or my husband although I met him at a way smaller weight, it's been a while and he's just as excited. My date is scheduled for September 26, 2014. I pray that all goes well with you:)

  3. My insurance just told me that my surgery was approved! I can't believe it! My journey only started 4 weeks ago with a trip to the surgeon's office for a consult. (I have Anthem BCBS of CA). I am going to be a September sleever and I am ecstatic!!
