@@Luana526 yes I am very nervous about the lifestyle change! All I do is think about what it would be like exactly for me personally. I'm afraid of failing or becoming depressed because I won't be able to eat a lot like I'm use to doing..... I know it's for the best for my health and well being and a plus for my sexiness

So anybody else had problems with approval first go around? Cigna wanted more notes from NUT and I had to ask my PCP to write a more specific medical necessity letter. I am 5'6" and 248lb, BMI is 40.06. What do you guys think ?
If you have other doctors such as therapist for knees, back, ect. They can write a medical necessity letter.

I've posted here earlier in the segment however, I had a mishap at work!! Ugh! As I was getting in my work vehicle, my uniform pants split at the seam! I didn't have a extra pair in my locker so I had to run home and change:( all of my uniform pants are too tight now but I refuse to order anymore in the size that I am! I can't wait until September 26, 2014 12:55pm!!!

Hey September sleevers!! I'm not schedule until the 26th however, this Sunday I'm cleaning out my closet right now separating all the clothes that I NEVER want to wear again 16-20 and the ones that I haven't worn in years 8-12! Also I purchased a pair of size 6 jeans (my personal goal for my 4"11 small frame) from a store that's going out of business clearance rack $10.00.... I really want to part with shoes too but um.... I'll wait I have shoe sizes ranging from 6-8!!! And that's including half sizes!! I'm excited for EVERY newbie here on these forums!

Truthfully, 8 weeks out and I am still wondering if it is going to get better. I never dreamed that I would feel this crappy (nauseated, difficult to drink even Water, love/hate food & so far special occasions have not been that special) I have heard it will get easier but still waiting. Maybe I am just impatient, but barely getting down 3-4 bites of food and then the nausea starts. Eating at restaurants is not the same and not as enjoyable or satisfying. Sorry to be so negative, just my experience so far.
@@Krispiekreme I feel so bad that you're going through this and the fear is real! It is my hope that better days are ahead for you, sooner than later. I'm schedule for September 26, 2014 and I really appreciate your honesty about your journey so far. @@keepingmysecrets here's one, not so good experience so far that some of us undoubtfully will go through

I'm 3 months out. My sleeve surgery was a life saver for me. I was to a point I had given up on myself. Now I look forward to so many things. My self confidence is back. My attitude is positive. The weight loss is a perk (ok its also fantastic too). I just can't believe how good I feel.
Enjoy researching weight loss surgery. So much information out there.
Here is one of my favorite motivating videos. This woman is 18 months out. She has a video blog of her journey. Let me know what you think.
I love Fabiola's story!

I never suggested or implied that the information regarding both sides could not be found elsewhere. I am personally familiar with all those sites you quote. They are irrelevant to my post since they have nothing to do with what I was responding to.
I was responding to a post who suggested that anyone about to have this surgery NOT read the complications thread. And I still say, WHY SHOULDN'T they? That is indicative of exactly the type or reasoning that promotes this surgery (by some, not all) as indicative of the way it is going to work for everyone based on their own personal experience.
BP is a great source of information and community. But there are two sides to everything, and no one should be recommending that anyone else go into surgery based solely on the good experiences of themselves.
Good luck to you as well.
Smh:(
Sinus infection/cold before surgery!

So I woke up this morning with a runny nose and sore throat! I may have to get antibiotics because orange juice, Soup and DayQuil is not working AND it's 10 days BEFORE my scheduled surgery what should I do? Has anyone gotten a cold before surgery? What's going to happen?
