  1. If you have a sleeve not a pouch, don't do that liquid pouch reset, it is useless.

Eat 3-4 ounces of dense Protein only for a few days, so you can feel and utilize your restriction.

RNY people need the pouch reset because their pouches stretch. Sleeves don't stretch, people eat sliders and claim to have lost restriction when in reality it is entirely based on their diet.

I love this!! I needed to read this today! I haven't been on here in a while!

  2. I'm on my 2nd day of all liquid Protein trying to restart my pouch restriction. Yesterday I had the worse headache by 5:00 (after drinking a ton of Water so I know it wasn't dehydration). Today, I'm really tired and feel some hunger but pushing through with Water. I have only lost a pound so we will see. Link below for anyone wanting to know about the 5 day pouch test.

Thank you so much for sharing the link to the 5DPT! I'm 16 months out and at a horrible stall! I've been 162 for 4 months now I'm 167 after these holidays! I still have about 30lbs to lose! I'm 4"11, 41years old. My surgeon said that he'd like to see me at most,135lbs. I agree ????

  3. Good morning! It's been a long time since I've posted! Just to give an update, I am a 4"11 female, I was sleeved 9/26/14 my highest weight was 228. On the day of surgery I was 217 as of today 8/10/15, I am 166.3! I'd do it again in a heartbeat and I've influenced 5 people of whom I've shared my journey with, to have or at least inquire about this procedure....

  5. I am late on my post. I made on year March 26th 2015. I started at 360 lbs and I am currently 250. I have stalled a lil bit but with work and school and family it was expected. I want to drop another 40 lbs to reach my goal of 210 lbs. It's been a long and well needed journey.

Congratulations! My surgerversary is the same day!! I went from 217 surgery day to 177 on my surgerversary!! I feel absolutely great and YOU look absolutely great!! Keep it up!

  6. Surgery date was September 26, 2014! I made 6 months post op on 3/26/15 that same day I had a PCP doc visit...... I am now 177lbs from my highest weight of 228 the day of 10 day pre op weight the day of surgery I weighed 217! I'm officially off blood pressure meds, first time in 13 years! I feel great, look great, I exercise with a personal trainer 3 days a week, but my PCP said that I should work out at least 5! Hopefully, I'll find that kind of strength! It's still hard to get in 90grams of Protein AND 64 oz of Water but I'm trying????

  7. @@VSG_lauren this is EXACTLY how I feel! I thought that I was ready but boy was I in for a surprise!! I'm tired all the time, can't eat but two teaspoons of puréed anything, fatigued and a little miserable. It's unbelievable that you REALLY can't consume not even what nutritionist would say is a normal plate of something! 6 month old babies can eat more than me:(. I pray that 6 months from now that I can say it was worth it and I don't regret it either..... I'm two weeks two days post-op 9/26/14

  8. Hi!

I'm wondering how long the whole process takes. I just had my evaluation appointments. How long until they decide if you are accepted into their program and then how long after that was your surgery approved?

After your evaluation Dr. Prachard and team go over ALL of your records including physc eval. They decide if your medical conditions meet the criteria for the procedure and then they send you a letter of acceptance or not and the recommended procedure within 3 weeks. However, the approval of the procedure is solely up to your insurance and their requirements that approval can take up to 30 days after you meet them whether it be a 2,3 or six months monitoring of nutrition BEFORE your approved.

My entire process was approximately 8 months. I am now as of today 2 weeks post op???? good luck to you on your journey and acceptance
