My first fill is scheduled!!!!
Thanks for the tip about the sig Kathy! I think I fixed it. Yes, I found a new doc. The only problem will be if she can't find my port since she doesn't use fluoro. I am going to try to think positively though and hope for the best. I absolutely love Oregon so far. It is so beautiful. I am still getting used to the weather but I know that will come in time. Thanks for asking. You are so sweet.

Time to Intro
Congratulations on being banded Lindsay!!!! Your story sounds a lot like mine. I just got sick and tired of being fat and tired. I am through with missing out on life and being scared to try new things. I too took a giant leap of faith, crossed the border, and am now living day by day with my new buddy, my band. Best of luck to you on your journey. It isn't easy, but I am so glad I did it. Welcome to LBT.

Hello everyone
Debbie....Welcome to LBT. So glad you found us. I was born in Laurel, MD. I love it there. My dad always called me "The Original Maryland Crabcake", because I don't do mornings...shall we say...very well...LOL. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery date. That is wonderful. The time will fly and it will be here in no time. Good luck with all of the pre-op testing. I know it can be tedious but it's also important. Best of luck to you.

Introduction to me.....
I'm so glad to meet you Kim! I'll cross my fingers for you that you get the answer that was meant to be. I love the story of how you met your husband. I also met my husband on the internet...at matchmaker.com. I was skeptical as well, but it was the best thing I ever did. I have three friends that met their spouses the exact same way. Love works in mysterious ways. Best of luck to you on your journey.

Greetings to all!
Welcome to LBT Sherry. So glad you are here. It sounds like you are doing great. Any weight you lose before your first fill is like the proverbial icing on the cake since there is not real restriction. Hang in there. Make sure you do eat or like you said, your body will think it's starving. Work on getting more protein and you'll feel and do better. Best of luck to you.

People magazine
I read the article too....my stomach was in knots until I got to the end. I think that as long as you do the research everything usually works out ok...just like in the US. It was weird to read about a lap band from Mexico though. Hopefully no one in my family reads it or they'll be freaking out.

My first fill is scheduled!!!!
I just had to share that my first fill is scheduled for this Thursday at 6:30pm with Dr. Kelly Fitzpatrick in Portland. I am very excited but a little nervous. I know I really need a fill...I was able to eat way to much food last night. I know I will feel better once it is done and I can start losing weight again. I have been playing with the same two pounds for the last three weeks. Thanks for all of the support.
-
bad fill?
Eileen...I am crossing my fingers for you that everything is OK. Sounds like it might be though just from the varied description of your experiences. Best of luck to you. Hugs.

alpo
LOL...Road Queen. I read your other post about Red Lobster, so hopefully the Alpo won't tempt you anymore. Do not give into the Alpo.

Folks, do you love burgers but can no longer eat them cause they get stuck?
Thanks for the good ideas. I have no difficulty with burgers let, but I do get my first fill on Thursday so all of that may change.
