Thank you. I'm really nervous about the whole thing to be honest. But I have a great doctor who I trust will take good care of me and I believe I will be successful at this so I am moving forward with it. I want all this extra weight off that slows me down and keeps me from doing the things I want to and living the life I should be living. How are you feeling today? Hope all is well. Keep me posted. I'm excited for you!

Been waiting 6 months. Now in 10 days I will have my final weigh in and then surgery on the 25th! It's dragging on so slowly. I am ready for this! I want to get the surgery out of the way and start losing already. Anyone else going on the 25th of July?

True. And normally I don't care but I guess the closer it gets the more I was reaching out and was a bit surprised that people who should understand were not very supportive.

What Are Some Things You Can't Wait for POST OP?
There's so many things I am looking forward to post op. Dancing with my niece country line dancing. Going on a cruise with my hubby. Shopping for little cute clothes. Walking around in shorts and not being ashamed or embarrassed of my legs and arms and the rest of my body. Not being the one fat person in the room. I want to be little again so bad. And active. And healthy. And not shy away from photos.

OK so every time I look for support and share pics and goals I get"no offense but you're not big enough for surgery" or something of that nature. Making me feel like I don't belong or that I'm making a mistake with wls. I went from 218lbs to 140ish to 170 to 211lbs and about 15 years ago was the last time I saw a size 6. I have an unhealthy bmi, had to have my gallbladder out and have problems with my feet. No I don't have blood pressure problems, I'm not diabetic, nor am I 300lbs plus. Do I really need to wait for all of that to happen in order to qualify in some people's eyes to do something about it? So many people on here say their only regret is that they didn't do this sooner before all these health issues arose and yet come down on me for actually not waiting for it to be that far along. In my opinion, we're all in the same boat. Doesn't matter if you're 500 lbs or 200 lbs. If you're at an unhealthy bmi and miserable and need this to be healthy and to help you get and stay on track then we are all the same. I would never go on to someone's post who was heavier than me and say something like"how could you wait till it got this bad" and I feel like that's what they are saying to me in reverse when they come on and challenge my reasons for needing and wanting this procedure. I'm sorry, but my feelings are hurt and I feel like I'm alone in this at times because I'm not as big as some feel I should be to consider this. I've lost and re gained 70- 95lbs on the average over the past 15 years or so. I'm good with my decision even if no one else is. I'm going to be successful and maintain a healthy lifestyle and look and feel fabulous for the rest of my life. That is what I want. Sorry if this feels like a rant. It's not meant to be. Just feeling hurt and alone today.

Tomorrow is my day. Getting very nervous!
We've all been there or are going to be there and know what you are going through. So many who have been through this and are months out even years out are so happy now and do not regret this decision. As I near closer to my surgery day these are the people I depend on to help me deal with my fears and uneasiness. You're going to be fine and in one month when I'm on here posting how my surgery is a day away and I'm scared you will be here telling me how you're a month out and lbs down and feeling great and how worth it this all is. Close your eyes relax and you'll wake up to your beginning to a new life.

Best tasting Protein shakes?
I have a peanut butter obsession so I ordered this. It really is very good. It didn't seem to mix as easily as some others I've tried. Does it mix better with almond milk than water? I thought maybe if I blend it? It is very Yummy though.

Guess what I saw this morning

What Are Some Things You Can't Wait for POST OP?
I can't wait to be in a photo and like what I see. I can't wait to wear clothes that don't have to cover every square inch of my fat and make me miserable in this Vegas heat. I can't wait to put my size 6 back on. I can't wait for everything!

NEWBIES..... LETS STICK TOGETHER
I too am having a long wait, 6 months. Mine will be July 25th. This site provided a lot of useful information and great support through these last months of waiting. Helped to pass the time. It will be here before you know it. Good luck with everything.

34 days
34 days to go. The other day I was weighing in at 211lbs. My goal was to get to 205lbs for my next appointment which is on the 8th of July. It's my final appointment and weigh in before surgery 2 wks after that. I can't drop below 205lbs or I drop below required bmi from insurance. I woke up today and now I'm at 206lbs! ? My weight fluctuates so much. I can't wait until I don't have to worry about losing too much. This has been incredibly tough believe it or not. I will definitely wear jeans and tennis shoes to the last weigh in. I want to be in onederland by surgery date! I hope. My feet are starting to hurt and I don't want to wait anymore for getting some of this weight off!
