butterfly2014 got a reaction from StayingStrong in Stall...my inspirational thoughts
The 12 day stall I had a few weeks ago can kiss my butt goodbye! I slowly got off the stall finally with losing 1lb then 2lbs the following week and now this week I have lost 6lbs! Im Rockin it! Feels so good to exercise and see that it helps alot with the losing process. I do yoga and weight training 7 days a week. Im so PROUD of myself! Especially when I was depending on a walker for over a year cause of a car accident that injured my back and leg and now with losing these 29lbs in the past 6 weeks has really helped take pressure of my back and Im not depending on the walker much anymore. So you see there is a light at the end of the tunnel fellow sleevers. Whether your having a hard time with your liquids, solids, working out etc Remember this is a lifestyle change and we need to use this tool to the max to succeed in the end and be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am 6 weeks postop, eating solids in small portions of course cause my little sleeve gets full fast as expected. Im working out, something I couldnt do before surgery cause of back/leg injury. I am slowly seeing my light.
    Im 31 yrs old, 5'4...
    Start Weight 289
    Day of Surgery 281
    Current weight 260
Stay Focused, Determined, Dont give up and remember it will get better!

I am so proud of myself, for this entire week everyday I have worked out for 45-60 mins. Granted I am limited with being able to do cardio cause of back injury and neuropathy om my right leg bit Im pushing myself by doing yoga, crunches and weight lifting. I feel so focused and determined and its an awesome feeling! I am finally losing more consistantly and Im handling all the solid foods Ive been eating really well.
Wishing everyone a nice holiday tomorrow. Good night folks!

Yes it will be tough the first couple of weeks but each day gets easier. I am 5 weeks postop and I am eating normal foods now, small portions of course and I get full with small amounts. I dont feel like Im starving and I dont regret the surgery not one bit. The best advice I can give you after you do the surgery is 3 main things, Water, Protein and walk walk walk. You will have alot of gas and walking helps alot.
    Good Luck!

Good for you Bluesea!!! You dont have to tell them how much you lost if you dont want to. Obviously they will see the weight loss but dont feel pressured to tell them how much. Congrats on your weight loss success!

I went out to dinner for the first time tonight. We went to Chilis and I ordered chicken quesadillas. Umm my sleeve didnt like the mozzarella cheese at all so I just picked out the pieces of chicken and ate it with the pico de gallo (tomato/onion salsa mix) and I got full instantly. So not so bad for first time eating out and kudos to me cause I didnt touch the molten cake that hubby and friends ordered.

Bluesea and Melodica we are human and we make mistakes. Bluesea eventually you will be able to enjoy those carbs we miss so much, in time and of course its always about portion portion portion. You will get to that solid stage before you know it and enjoy those yummy foods 1 ounce at a time. Melodica I highly doubt you will gain any weight, its ok you made a booboo lol besides with moving its kinda hard to stay focused on the healthy stuff so I feel you. As long as you get back on track you will be fine.
Tomorrow is our checkin fellow sleevers! Im a little nervous about getting on the scale I sure hope I see the number drop! Welp Im off to sleep, got to work tomorrow. Goodnite!

Thank u for the suggestions ladies. I ended up doing an enema as per Dr's instructions. I have never done an enema and man what a relief. The box said it would work within 1-5 mins and it sure did as soon as I was done using it I was running to the toilet. TMI I know, we share everything on here lol So thumbs up to Fleet Enema!!

I agree I just started eating solid Protein today. I had 1 chicken drumstick, my tummy made a few sounds shortly after eating but no nausea thank god. So I passed the chicken test! Im hoping same thing happens to me and I can lose a couple pounds this week. Im not gonna weigh myself til Saturday so will see.
    Goodnite my fellow sleevers...

butterfly2014 got a reaction from Time4Kindness in Officially sleeved! Couple of questions and one complication to report. :(
Im sorry about your hand issue, hope it turns out to be minor.
As far as the incision healing, for myself all of mine are pretty much healed except for 1 of them cause it got infected, currently being treated with antibiotics. Pain got better each day, took about a week for pain to stop. It was more a discomfort thing than pain. Im 4 weeks postop tomorrow. So I would say it took about 2 weeks to heal fully.
I was told to concentrate on my Protein intake and Water and not worry about the calories simply because we wont be eating much anyway cause we will get full with 2-3oz of food/liquids. So no calorie count here. Protein intake was very hard for me the first 10 days postop, it will take time to reach your daily goal. Also water intake I was only drinking 16-32oz daily my first week. Sip dont gulp!
Hope this helped, wishing you a speedy recovery!

Mysleeve I am so with you! I noticed the other day I can see my cheek bones and my face has gotton so much smaller, its weird cause I dont remember the last time being this weight and looking at the mirror has become more pleasurable lol I had to retire a pair of jean yesterday, when you can slide off your jeans easily without unbuttoning them, you know they are too big. They were my fav comfy jeans and now they are all baggy everywhere on me. My friends told me I needed to stop wearing them and let them go lol
Ok onto the next subject. I went to my Dr today he prescribed antibiotics, he said it should soften the incision bump and heal. He said worse case scenario in a week go back and he would have to make a small cut on the incision. Ouch! I so dont want that, so I hope 5 days on these antibiotics work. Prayers up and fingers crossed.
And as far as the Constipation he told me to just buy OTC stool softener like colace or any other. He said to not use magnesium citrate cause that would be too ruff on my tummy, the acid.
Ohhh and last but not least, all my coworkers have noticed my weight loss and when they ask what diet Im doing I say Im doing the dont eat food diet lol Am I lying?? They just laugh at me and compliment me, feels good.
Goodnite my fellow sleevers, you guys are awesome! Feels so good to come on here and share our journey!

I lost 11.4 pounds my first week post surgery. 4.9 pounds of that was the day after surgery. That stomach of mine must have been huge! My weight day of surgery was 226. I'm now almost 4 weeks post-op and weigh 206.
