  1. I never plan in advance for lunch. I'm just not that organized! Lately I have been eating P3s for lunch. They are in the lunch able section. They have 3 proteins......turkey/ham/chicken bites, almonds or cashews, and cheese bites. They are the perfect amount of food with 14 g of protein. And best of all...easy to grab as your running out the door!

    Emotiomal journey!

I'm 2 months out and just had my first "tailgating" day yesterday. I had the same concerns as you a few weeks ago. However, I decided not to let my sleeve hold me back from things I live to do. Most of the time my family will ask what can I eat. If I'm going somewhere that I'm not sure, I pack my own meal! PS...I made it fine with the tailgate food but the Alabama heat kicked my but. I thought I was mostly recuperated but evidently I had not been challenged! Good luck, it will get better!

    Veterans please HELP...

Thanks for all the good advice. I'm just not sure how good they are doing me if I can't keep them down half of the time!
  4. I need advice on vitamins. My Dr had me taking bariatric advantage 2 X per day. I'm 2 months out and almost daily have horrible nausea, gagging, and dry heaving within seconds of swallowing the multi vitamin. It's not the taste. Something happens when it hits my stomach. Veterans please share with me if you have used another brand and if your labs have been good. Thanks!

    June 23rd sleevers?

My surgery date was the same. My typical day: Breakfast: premier Protein chocolate Lunch: p3 or 1/2 Quest bar or Greek yogurt snack: 4 slices of pre-cooked bacon Dinner: whatever protein (2-3 oz) the family is having plus 2 bites of carb I usually average 500-700 calories with a little over occasionally. I weigh tomorrow but so far post op down 36 lbs.

Blood thinner shots - how long?

30 days...mine burn sometimes too. I figure it's the angle or place causing the burn. ( operator error..lol) I have 8 more to go!
  7. That happened to me and I figured out it was because I was taking my multivitamin after a protein shake and not food.
  8. I am in the soft stage now. I'm drinking 2 premier proteins a day so I get my protein. I'm eating green beans or mashed potatoes with a little gravy for meals. My NUT said this is the only stage that she allows KFC mashed potatoes and gravy because the intake is so little. Im only getting about 500 calories a day.
  9. I was also unable to escape the dreaded 3 week stall. Surgery date was 6/24 and I lost 20 lbs the first 2 weeks. Now I have been at the same weight for 9 days. Everyone keeps saying "hang in there, it will pass". I'm ready for it to pass!!

    My journey so far!

I am in the dreaded 3 week stall. My surgery was 6/24 and I lost 20lbs the first two weeks....now 9 days at the same. I'm getting my water and protein. As frustrating as it is....everyone says it's our body adjusting. Maybe it'll end soon for both of us and the weight drop significantly.

WATER PARK IN A TWO PIECE

    Congratulations! You look incredible!!
  12. I am 1 week post op. I am allowed to start protein shakes today. I have no problem drinking. My question is..do I limit the protein shakes to 2-4 oz like food?

    New

I lurked here for a while before taking the final steps. 1 week post op and no regrets! Good luck with your journey!
  14. 5 days post op....I am in a wide chair with footstool for daytime, and in a bed with 6 pillows to sleep. I did get a crick in my neck sleeping on night 3. I started using a travel pillow to support my neck and it's much better. I definitely think you can get by with the furniture you have!
